Paula gave us an in-depth tour and the history of the North End.. I found her to be very knowledgeable not only about the North End but the regions in Italy. The food was paired up according to the regions of Italy. The tour was a lot of fun to visit the hidden gems in the North End, whether it was the local bakery tucked away, the coffee shop, fresh veggie market, meat market or the local pastry shop. I highly recommend this tour even if you are from the area as I am. Be sure to arrive with a big appetite.Fantastic walking tour around the historic Italian North End! Paula is so knowledgeable- a real local who loves the neighborhood. This was a really fun, interesting and most importantly, delicious tour! Definitely highly recommended- you will love it!

More than 10/10 recommend! If you have any interest in history or consider yourself a “foodie” by any means, this is the tour for you! Paula’s Off The Eaten Path tour is absolutely FANTASTIC! Whether you are local to the North End/ Boston, MA area or you are in town to visit, this is 100% worth your time. To start, Paula is extremely sweet, personable, and really makes your experience feel so unique. She will chat with you on a personal level, while also being extremely professional throughout the tour. She is very knowledgeable about local history and the history of Italy, which made the tour that much more interesting. Not only does Paula take you to see some of the ”landmark” locations of the North End, she also focuses a lot of time and detail on the hidden gems and local favorites. We found this to be even more exciting and interesting because we got to truly see what life is like in the North End and enjoy some of the local favorites for food and drink, rather than the “tourist attractions.” These locations are favorites for a reason, the food was PHENOMENAL! We travelled to multiple stops along the tour to try different food and drink selections and there was not one thing that we did not enjoy! After the tour we went back to a few of the stops and purchased some items to bring home because we enjoyed them that much! We are local to the Boston area and visit fairly frequently, but had never really felt confident in navigating the North End, until now! Paula’s tour not only taught us some extremely interesting facts about Italy, Boston, and the North End, but we also learned about how the streets connect and how to visit again sometime and find our new favorite places! We really loved the genuine, local, family feel to the tour as well. Every place we walked into someone immediately greeted Paula by name and acknowledged us and gave us a food or drink to try right away. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this experience was! It was so easy to purchase tickets, schedule a tour, meet up with Paula, and the tour experience was so easy to just enjoy. We already have plans to bring our family and friends on the tour with Paula, so that they can have the same amazing experience as us! Please, do yourself a favor and book with Paula of Off The Eaten Path Tours Boston, you will not be disappointed! As our family in Italy would say, the tour was perfetto! Perfect! Thank you, Paula! With sincere gratitude, Jess & Nick
