I learned much about volcanoes from my guide who also took me to the museum in the park. Looking into the magma after dark was mesmerizing.

I can’t stress enough how amazing this company was. I was planning to visit the volcano at night and found these guys online. Within minutes of me contacting them I had all my questions answered in perfect English. They explained step by step how will the tour work and picked us up from our guest house few minutes before the agreed time! We have bombarded Huascar and Pablo with thousands of questions about the volcano, Nicaragua, traditional food and all sorts and the guys were extremely knowledgable, positive and truly the best. The views were incredible and overall it was an unforgettable experience. We were really taken care of and Huascar and Pablo truly deserve a medal. What really stood out to be about them was the very professional design and layout of their website and how easy it was to use and navigate. They not only responded to my query...
Initially came across Welcome to Nicaragua Tours while I was on the lookout for a night time tour of the Masaya Volcano. What really stood out to be about them was the very professional design and layout of their website and how easy it was to use and navigate. They not only responded to my query regarding the tour promptly but also suggested a much much better itinerary than what I was trying to plan which ended up saving me a good few hours. Pablo met as at Managua airport just like he said he would. Charming and friendly, he's the kind of person who puts you at ease almost immediately. Had a lovely conversation with him about life, the universe and everything from Managua towards Masaya. We got there a little bit before Masaya Volcano park opens at 5:30pm for the evening tours so Pablo took a to a lovely restaurant overlooking the nearby lagoon. It was a great spot to relax and have a couple of cervezas and some food if you're so inclined and the views are truly spectacular. Felt like hanging out with friends. After the pit stop we headed to the volcano and Pablo didn't rush us at all and took time to explain the history and geology of the Volcano and the impact its various eruptions caused. Its not a very long drive up to the top but once you get there the view is simply breathtaking. Actually looking at the magma bubbling under the earths surface is an almost transcendental experience and I for one could sit and stare at that sight for hours. Another example of how thoughtful Pablo is, he brought binoculars for us to get a better look which practically none of the other tours seemed to have. Such a simple gesture but seemingly uncommon. Again Pablo was more than happy to stay with us up there at the viewpoints for as long as we desired and did make us feel rushed in any way. Seeing the volcano by night was something I'll cherish for as long as I can remember. On the drive from Masaya to Granada where we were staying, we told Pablo of our love for pupusas and he actually took us to a pupusa joint to grab dinner before driving us to out hostel. Could not ask for a more affable and considerate person to show you the sights around Granada and indeed Nicaragua. We also took his recommendations for things to do around Granada and ended up having an absolutely incredible time. On our way out, Pablo drove us back to Managua airport and by this time it felt like getting a ride back with a friend. Thanks Pablo for everything and for making our trip truly phenomenal!988maximem
