Last week my boyfriend and I went on an amazing tour with David. He took us to some amazing wineries up in the spring mountain area. David got us both lunch from the bouchon bakery, and it was absolutely perfect with our bottle of sparkling wine that he also provided. We will definitely be using consort wine tours in the future!We will have to differ with the rave reviews of this tour. Our only comparison was the bike tour we took in Sonoma county, where our tour guide guided us to lovely wineries, came in with us and pointed out the highlights, provided lunch and snacks, and was at our side all day, After this, we wer...
We will have to differ with the rave reviews of this tour. Our only comparison was the bike tour we took in Sonoma county, where our tour guide guided us to lovely wineries, came in with us and pointed out the highlights, provided lunch and snacks, and was at our side all day, After this, we were surprised that David our guide said "so where do you want to go?", sat in his car while we went to each winery alone, and (when we said we weren't thrilled with the wines we tasted at one place), made a critical comment about how we must not like sophisticated wines. Then he presents us with some Sophia Coppola pink sparkling wine as a gift, which is not sophisticated wine at all. Add to this a pre-journey stressful snafu, getting an email saying our tour was cancelled because we didn't email him back (when we actually had) and I would recommend looking elsewhere.We had such a wonderful day learning about and touring Napa with Susan. Even when I spoke to David to book the trip, I immediately knew we were going to love our first trip to Wine Country. They were very thoughtful and took into account recommendations we received from friends, while adding in...
We had such a wonderful day learning about and touring Napa with Susan. Even when I spoke to David to book the trip, I immediately knew we were going to love our first trip to Wine Country. They were very thoughtful and took into account recommendations we received from friends, while adding in their favorite spots to create the perfect day. It was just me and my husband, so we were a little concerned about riding around in a car with someone for 6 hours in case it was awkward or they weren't friendly. Susan was so pleasant and comfortable and made us feel at home right from the start. The sparkling wine and picnic lunch was such a nice, and delicious, touch. The wineries she picked were all great and it gave us the perfect introduction to Napa and all it has to offer. I can't wait to go back and I couldn't imagine using another company. Thank you David and Susan, you truly gave us a wonderful day. We look forward to round 2 someday!Napa valley is a great place to visit, David gave us a great selection for lunch. I thought the first one at Nicholson would be impossible to top, but the follow ups at Mayo and Kenwood were amazing too. Great trip. They were flexible on our start time and designed the trip around us.
