Tour guide Emilie was delightful. Pick up was easily changed to suit my location and of course she was on time. Her passion for Nantes history and culture was obvious. The impressive castle, the tilting buildings, local delicacies, interesting shop fronts, ghost stories and fabulous shopping were certainly highlights. Thanks for the very comprehensive tour with a lovely local. I loved that the tour included a wide variety of topics I was interested in. Being both teachers it was also great that we could share stories about our careers. I don't believe the tour could have been better.

Our guide Emilie was terrific. Perfect English and she had even lived in Texas for a period with friends. Our cruise ship shuttle into Nantes had provided incorrect drop-off location information and I had to call Emilie to advise her of our new location. She arrived on her bicycle a few minutes later and we cheerfully began our short walking tour. We started at the Place Saint-Pierre and moved on to the Chateau des ducs de Bretagne a few minutes away. We walked through Place Royale and moved on to Place Graslin, where we stopped at a sidewalk cafe for refreshing drinks and a short rest. At the end of our walk, Emilie assisted my wife and me with tram tickets so we could all ride back to our starting point, where she collected her bicycle and went on her way. It was a nice couple of hours and I highly recommend Emilie for anyone interested in a walking tour of Nantes highlights. We did a short tour, but she sometimes leads tours of several hours length for more detailed insights.
