We’ve had an amazing 2 day trekking experience through the beautiful sapa area. The first part of the hike was quite intensive, but the views made it definitely worth it. Our guide would also made sure we could rest whenever we needed it. After the first day of trekking we arrived in the homestay where we received the most friendly and warm welcome. After a nice warm shower we could enjoy a freshly prepared vegetarian dinner. The next day, after a good night of sleep and a delicious breakfast, we were ready for another full day of hiking. Our guide took us away from the touristy paths, along amazing views of the mountains and rice fields. Everything was very well organized, we had an amazing time!Pao is a knowledgeable, local guide who took us on an amended trek through Sapa and the surrounding local ethnic villages, due to poor visibility because of the weather. Pao is a knowledgeable, local guide who took us on an amended trek through Sapa and the surrounding local ethnic villages, due to poor visibility because of the weather. Pao explained with very good English many aspects of the local people’s daily lives and shared his experiences growing up, making a living and why he enjoys doing these treks with this company. Views on the trek were expectedly beautiful and overnight homestay was a highlight sharing the experience with other travellers over a simple family dinner. Su was the host of the homestay also had good English. The treks are long but not overly difficult, lunch is provided as stated and is simple yet tasty. May get slippery but local intuitiveness led Pao to fashions bamboo walking stick from the environment. A very good insight into their lives. Pao shared with us an intimate family celebration as we passed his village and this was very special. We arrived back in town and their office by car and he helped us back to our accommodation by his motorbike. This tour group is the only local ethnic minority run in Sapa Town. Their experience and local knowledge was genuine and intimate. By choosing local, this gives back to those who have interest in keeping these experiences and culture alive. I’d highly recommend.
