We did the Mt. Etna half day tour. From pickup at our hotel at 845am to drop off at 345pm; you get more than a half day. Our guide and driver was Marco. A great driver first of all. A super knowledgeable guide. We learned so much about volcanos, geology, weather, geography, vegetation and history. We really like that the Etnapeople tours have one guide per van. Our van seated 8 people so that was our tour size. We saw some others on the mountain that were huge groups. Ours was much more intimate. You have to be able to walk through the terrain. And take them up on the offer of using their footwear as it is dusty and you will get pebbles in your own running shoes. At snack time our sandwiches got converted to charcuterie style boards but there was 3 boards for 8 people to share. Pointers: we carried too many coats and sweaters with us. Ended up leaving them in the van. It was warmer in the direct sun than we expected. Bring your own snack - we didn't sit down to eat until past 100pm so we could've used a mid morning snack.We did a half day Etna tour with Roberto and we couldn’t ask for a better tour guide.
