Overview
Have an amazing small group adventure on this full day sunrise trekking tour of Mount Batur. Your entire trek will be around 3 hours. You will trek to the summit of Mount Batur where you will watch a magnificent sunrise while eating breakfast with excellent views of Lake Batur and Mount Rinjani. You will then have an exciting walk around the crater.

What to expect
Itinerary
At 3:30am you will arrive at your starting point of Toya Bungkah Village where you will meet your professional experienced trekking guide. It will take around 1.5 - 2 hours to reach the summit of Mount Batur (1717 metres) above sea level. The climb is quite steep, but you will forget all the required effort when you will see the sunrise at 6am. While eating breakfast, you will catch amazing sights and see the beautiful colours of the sunrise while overlooking the majestic view of Lake Batur and Mount Rinjani. You have a stunning view of every angle you see it. After the sunrise, your guide will offer you the option to go back down or to do an additional walk around the crater and lava. Visit the raw, least visited part of Mount Batur and learn about lava flows and ash cones with your guide. You may also see some monkeys on your trek back down.
You will be arrive back at Toya Bungkah Village at around 9am. You will then be driven to a Balinese Coffee Plantation where you will stop around 11:30am.
You will arrive back to your accommodation at 1:30pm.

Budi was a fantastic guide - he offered us a choice of routes and was very patient about waiting when I needed a quick break. He found us a prime spot at the TOP and cooked a warming breakfast while we watched the sun rise. Friendly, informative and helpful - couldn’t ask for a better guide!

I cannot recommend this tour enough, which was the highlight of trip to Bali. The driver picked us up at the hotel at 1.30am from Seminyak. Ok, I understand this is an early morning start but the rewards of this tour compensate for a the loss of a few hours sleep. It takes a few hours from Seminyak to the base of Mount Batur, where we met our guide ( Budi ) who gave us the option of 2 routes ( easy or hard ) up the mountain, along with a flash light and bottle of water. I selected the easy route, which was a wise move, as the ascend at points was challenging, and Budi was an excellent guide and would stay with you whatever pace you feel comfortable with. Once we finally reached the peak still in darkness, we were offered a cup of coffee and steamed eggs + steamed banana, which we later found out was steamed by the volcanic steam.. This honestly tasted better than it sounds, it’s also very cold at the top so some warm food definitely hits the spot. We claimed our viewing spot nibbling on breakfast, and waited for the sun to rise. We were really lucky to have a clear night, and the sunrise was epic. During and after sunrise Budi offered to take some photos and has great knowledge of the best photo spots for a fantastic snap. He even showed us the crater of the volcano and warmed up in the volcanic steam, while Budi was taking some great photos of us standing in the volcano steam. I’m sure we would have missed this, if it wasn’t for our guide. From there we selected the option to go water rafting which was fun. Make sure you take a change of clothed… you will get wet !!! The driver ( sorry.. I forgot his name ) managed to get us to the front of the line without having to wait around, which was a blessing as after the rafting we were safely returned to our hotel, in the afternoon with enough time to laze by the pool relaxing after the early start to the day. I can’t thank the driver and Budi enough for such a great day and taking care of us, during this tour. Don’t look any further, book this tour, ask for Budi, and you won’t be disappointed.. Oka was the perfect guide. He was punctual, curtious and knowledgable. Its evident that he loves his job. Climbing Mt.Batu was tough... but our guide for the treck - Ari was also simply great. The view from top was breathtaking. If not for Ari we wouldnt have completed the treck... his patience ...

The view from top was breathtaking. If not for Ari we wouldnt have completed the treck... his patience may have been tested since we stopped every 5 minutes to catch our breaths! It was very cold and we were glad that we had warm jackets to wear. Oki took us to the hot springs, a coffee plantation and a batik shop too. With Oka and Ari... we couldnt have asked for better guides. Regret in not opting to use sticks to climb. Suggest that something is brought to cover the face... because the path becomes dusty when everbody starts to climb down at the same time Punitha and ChamilaJens B

Very nice guy, knowledgeable about volcanoes, Bali, agriculture and so on and answered all our numerous questions! Bonus: We used this tour to change hotels from Sanur to Ubud and Eka watched over our luggage. Great Service! Trecking guide: Susi you rock! Young woman with great enthusiasm and very attentive. Helped us out a lot with pictures, carrying jackets, motivation while ascending and always picked routes with appropriate difficulty. Paired with lots of fun and information on the sights - it was a blast! As our camera had no panorama mode she did the pictures with her phone and promised to send us the results. Also thank you for being so relaxed during our acrobatic poses. 10/10 would recommend! Event: Take clothes for changing with you. You'll need them! You should bring warm clothes and enough willpower to withstand the early pickup and the climb. It is soooo worth it and rewarding! Breathtaking view! Even quite a lot of tourists can't take that experience from you! Hot springs were amazing afterwards and will make your friends jealous. Amazing infinity Pool next to the lake. Coffee and Tea tasting make a great finish so you relieve some of your tiredness. Best tour we did so far on Bali!962sorchak

An experience not too miss! Well worth the early start. Picked up by our happy driver Armawan who gave us lots of information on the way, met by our guide Made from team tosa who guided us by torchlight up the mountain. Amazing scenery, stars on the way up watched a beautiful sunrise, (a little chilly and windy at the top) Made prepared our lovely breakfast for us. After the trek down we then stopped at the hot springs which was a lovely finish to a once in a lifetime trip. Many thanks though to our guide and driver who were so helpful and knowledgable and made the experience better.Chris T

Amazing experience and oka was on perfect time, got us to the mountain early and strait to the hot spring after for a well deserved rest. Do not miss this experience!!!
