What to expect
Pick up at your hotel between 01.30 am to 02.30 am depending on your hotel location. Heading directly to base point of Mount Batur. Get short introduction from your local guide, equipped you with flash light, trekking pole and water bottle. Begin the hike approximately at 03.30 am through the darkness lit by flash light.
It takes about two hours to reach the summit of Mount Batur. Once arrive at the top your guide will provide breakfast and hot drink while you watching the sunrise. After sometime walking around the crater before descending mountain. Allow your body to relax at Batur natural hot spring after long hike (if package selected).

He always made sure the hiking pace was right, he got us to a great viewing point for the sunrise, and he made sure everything went smoothly so as a hiker we didn't have to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend this hike as the level of difficulty isn't to high and the view from a top the active volcanoes are amazing.We booked this trip the day before and got picked up at 2am for the walk. Once at Mount Batur we met with Raka who guided us for the walk. He was great company and made sure we had what we needed when we got to the top. Once we got to the top she found us a great spot just for our small group at the highest point, no one else was there, she also carried chairs for us there and brought us yummy food and drinks to enjoy during the sunrise 😍 We really reccomend this tour!The trekking is not easy, but is totally worth it; the view is breathtaking, and you set the pace. The trekking is not easy, but is totally worth it; the view is breathtaking, and you set the pace. Our guide Ayu was the best guide we could have. She was very patient and attentive all the trekking, helping us whenever we needed it, and stopping several times to rest. The breakfast she gave us was nice too, with fruit, boiled eggs, some bread, and a hot drink (hot cholocate for us). Moreover, she was a great photographer, as she knew where and how to get the best pictures. We totally recommend it.What and incredible and smooth experience ! Everything was perfect. What and incredible and smooth experience ! Everything was perfect. We had an included driver that came at our hotel and drives us the starting point of the hiking. Then we meet our very nice guide who accompanied us during the entire experience. He gave us lots of tips and tricks, showed us the amazing landscapes, took incredible pics of us (I think he is a photographer in another life), and was so nice. I highly recommend !
