This hike is by far the most difficult thing I have ever done. It is truly beautiful at the top but I honestly don't think I could physically do it again. The people who assisted us on the trip were phenomenal. Our guide, Lu, was very encouraging and stuck with me, giving lots of breaks and encouragement. She is likely the biggest reason I could actually make it up to the top. Our drivers, Komang wira& his trainee, Rabies, were very accommodating to our needs. Komang was shockingly bright and cheery for a 2 am car ride, giving us lots of info and Rabies is an efficient driver. They were more than willing to alter our trip based on our wants because we did not really enjoy the hot spring and wanted to leave early, which they happily obliged. The optional coffee plantation is also worth the stop if you are a coffee drinker. Overall good trip but prepared to be sore after!I highly recommend going on this tour! The sights are amazing the tour guide is very professional. Shout out to dibya! Thanks for an incredible experience at mount batur 🤙🏼

Though it have been disclaimed the level of difficulty as moderate, it is still a bit harder than I imagined. The mountain is steep and the the road are all in loosen sand which made it so difficult to move forward while maintaining balance for the upper body. But the sunrise scene at the peak is rewarding for all the sweat and effort we paid. Our guide - Buana keep encourage us on the way, such that we can more time left on the peak. He is also caring for all our needs and is definitely a great photographer with very nice photo produce. Jhoni, our driver is also passionate for introducing anythings in Bali and always tried his best to cope with our needs. The value on the mountain is a lot greater than the hotspring there. We hiked with guide Patur, he was great! Very accommodating and let us take plenty of breaks on the way up. His English was great and he was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend the volcano trek and relaxing hot spring afterwards for anyone visiting Bali. Well worth the early morning!

Short and sweet version: We (my wife, our friend, and I) ordered two tours for two separate days. Kadek took us to Ubud and we had a fantastic time. He is quite the gentleman and was insightful about what we were experiencing and witnessing in Ubud. The second trip, to Mount Batour and the Hotsprings, our driver, Margi, was punctual, like Kadek, got us back and forth safely. Our Mount Batour guide, Komang, was engaging, patient, and was helpful as we trekked up and down the Volcano. We scheduled both tours with Putu and he didn't try to sell us on anything other than what we wanted. He was fair in negotiations, and the booking took about 5 minutes. That simple! All the guides were professional and not one time hassled us for money or even tried to sell us on additional tours. They took us to exactly the places that we booked. Great company! I highly recommend them. Long and descriptive version: For one day, we (my wife, our friend, and I) ordered a driver from this company to take us to Ubud to visit the Tegenungan Waterfall, Monkey Forest, Coffee Plantation, and Rice Plantation. Kadek, the driver, was really nice, provided us some insight about the land, the customs, the monkeys, and the food. He was prompt, he was on the hour every hour. The following day, we decided that we wanted to take another trip, and because we were so impressed with Kadek, we reached to his company again. Unfortunately, Kadek was not able to join us because he had the next few days off. So the company sent us another driver, Margi, and like Kadek, very friendly and prompt. Before I talk about the following tour with Margi, let me describe how easy it was to book this tour. I called Kadek, and he put me in touch with, Bali's top guide extraordinaire, Putu, and he within a matter of 5 minutes, negotiated a fair price, confirmed the driver and trekking guide, and set up the meeting time. Literally, after 5 minutes, the driver and I were in communication, and that was it! I was surprised how easy that entire process took. He didn't try to sell me anything more than what I wanted. Back to the following tour, which was the sunrise trekking of Mount Batour and the natural hot springs. As planned, Margi showed up 30 minutes early, by the way, all their drivers show up 30 minutes early. We weren't ready, so he patiently waited in the van. We were coming from Kuta, the drivers adjust the time of arrivals depending on the distance from the Volcano. We got into the van at 1:30am, we had some small talk but shortly after 10 minutes, my wife and I went to sleep in the back. He took us to a small local shop, that is at the bottom of the Volcano, for coffee, snacks, and tea. When we were done 15 minutes later, he took us to the meeting area, where we met our trekking guide, Komang. Komang gave us some headlamps, and escorted to the restroom. Once we were ready, he guided us through the dark and up the volcano. It's important to note, the hike is not easy. It's about an hour and a half hike up. Before we started up, I was dealing with an headache and it got worse as we were climbing. It's a steep vertical incline and the rocks are soft so your feet get buried. Halfway, I had to stop several times because my headache and the altitude were bothering me. However, Komang was really nice about the entire thing, offered some words of encouragement and told me whenever I wanted to turnaround, he would have no issue escorting me back. After a few breaks, I pushed through it and made it to the top. At the top, it's cold and windy. Komang gave us a blanket to sit on and brought out coffee and tea to warm us up as we waited for the sun to rise up. Breakfast is served shortly after, my wife and I are vegan, so he brought us bananas and banana sandwiches. They were delicious. When the sun arose, Komang took photos of us and guided around the top to see the steamy hot craters. We took more photos. Around that time, monkeys started showing up, people took photos and gave them food. About an hour later, we made our way back down, which was also difficult, but Komang helped us get down safely. Komang was extremely nice and was engaging. He was truly interested in holding dialogue with people, wanting to learn about the people he guides up the Volcano. Afterward, Margi took us to the hotsprings. It was more like having three warm and picturesque swimming pools than they were the hotsprings one imagines; but still nice nonetheless. After, Margi took us to a lunch spot in Ubud, of our choosing, and when were done, he dropped us off back at the hotel. There was no sales pitch in the end, just a "Thank you" and "Enjoy the rest of your time in Bali." I appreciated the people I met working for this company, and if I ever return, I will certainly choose them again.
