What to expect
A short hike across petrified sand dunes will get us to the first of our two rappels (90 feet/27 meters), a stunning drop into a classic, water-carved, sandstone chamber and the very heart of the Colorado Plateau. From here, we exit this amazing room through a small slot, with a short section of scrambling and a short walk to our second spectacular free-hanging rappel (120 feet/36 meters). This rappel affords us an up-close and personal look at the 243-foot-long Morning Glory Arch, which is only feet away from our rappel station.
A downhill hike out to the Colorado River along a cool, spring-fed stream gives our canyoneering guides an opportunity to discuss wildlife, plants, geology, local history and more.

This was an excursion that was rescheduled from 2020 and it was worth the wait. We did the Bow and Arrow canyoneering trip and it was amazing. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Our group of 6 went canyoneering with Dan at Bow & Arrow and had an amazing time!! The hike was fun and Dan's knowledge of the petroglyphs, plants, etc made it a more unique experience from just hiking the parks on your own. The canyoneering itself was such an an amazing, unique experience. It was the first time for 5 of us and we all left saying we'd canyoneer again. Knowing that it was the first time for most of us and that a couple of us had a fear of heights, Dan put us at ease and made us feel safe. As an added bonus, Dan recommended 2 Moab restaurants that we all loved (98 Center and Love Muffin Cafe). All in all, 5 star experience!Brian was an excellent guide - calm, positive & encouraging. One of our party felt uncomfortable with heights but Brian helped him be successful with the rappels. Highly recommend for an adventure and to try out rappelling!

Everyone at Red River Adventures was so kind and accommodating. I recommend them to everyone I met while in Moab.
