Our guide will take you through the streets and alleys of Guanajuato, then you will be climbing to the mountains to get to know some of its mining towns.

Raul and Cruz were super genuine and made sure our group had an amazing time. We were picked up from our hotel on time and brought back home in a timely matter after the activity. We booked our horseback riding the day before and the sign up process was easy and accommodating. Raul and Cruz were super genuine and made sure our group had an amazing time. The horses were well trained and perfect for someone with no prior riding experience. If you are in Guanajuato for a weekend, definitely sign up for this event. Cruz and Raúl were top notch and we would definitely do it again. A+Called Raul for availability for myself, son and daughter for same day 3pm tour since we had no plans for day. We were picked up at our hotel on time and taken up to the Hacienda in San Miguel De Cardones. Let me tell you...and i dont frequently write reviews...and I have traveled all over the world....this was by far the most fantastic beautiful tour I have ever been on. It is worth every penny, you get more then what you expect. I have ridden a horse before long ago but with the guide/owner Jose Cruz's tutorial and guidance I felt comfortable right away. He was extremely patient and kind to help my kids learn how to direct their horses. We went on a trail ride for appx 2.5 hrs. More then enough time for you to explore the mountain side. He took us to a vista point where you have the most amazing view of Guanajuato. He took pictures for us on the horses...and gave us time to rest before continuing the journey back. It was a hot day and he stopped for us on way back for refreshment at local shop. Didnt even have to get off the horse. :0) You could not ask for a better guide to accompany you on that trail. He was not only knowledgeable but made sure I felt safe there as a woman traveling alone with teenagers...no concerns whatsoever. The horses are beautiful, healthy and obviously well taken care of. There is not enough space for me to tell you....you HAVE to do this tour. Get out and away from just city stuff and the million museums...get back to fresh air and nature. Its the most amazing therapeutic thing you could do for yourself and family. The bonding experience I got that day with my kids will last them forever. Its all they have talked about since we got back. Let me add on a side note that its rare you meet such a humble hard working person such as Jose Cruz. When my daughter struggled or got scared he jumped right in to help or reassure her. Theres horses in California....but id buy a ticket back to Mexico just to go back there for THIS.We took the horseback excursion in October of this year. Very unique, with a unique landscape and setup with some of the most stunning views of the city and the surrounding area you are likely to see. You will likely not only have a great time riding around, but you will learn a lot about the surrounding area, how to handle the horse itself and get some excellent pictures and views along the way as well. Can’t stress enough how incredible the views are and an even more unique way of getting there. Raul and Cruz couldn’t come more highly recommended themselves – prompt, professional and responsive. Ready to answer any and all questions even from a few folks such as ourselves who don’t necessarily have the greatest Spanish. Great tour, great experience, couldn’t recommend working with these two more.Being a first timer to Guanajuato, escaping the city and traveling to the highest peaks of the city was an amazing experience. Being a first timer to Guanajuato, escaping the city and traveling to the highest peaks of the city was an amazing experience. The views are incredible and we were able to capture some amazing videos, pictures, and memories. I have a mild fear of heights and there were a few times I was more than slightly nervous. I will also say that it’s Spanish only so if you’re going as a couple and you’re unable to speak Spanish, it’s something to keep in mind. Outside of those minor things, it’s a wonderful experience. After 3 hours, I was able to get very comfortable riding a horse which is really cool. The ranch is beautiful and the owner is very sweet and kind. We were treated wonderfully and had a once in a lifetime experience. I would recommend this adventure to others…
