He explained to us the history of meteora, described the local plants and small animals (we saw lots of turtles) and took really good photos of us. My kids (teenagers) and I really enjoyed the hike. It is an excellent way to see Meteora. The hike is not difficult, although it has a couple of areas where you have to be more careful. I highly recommend this hiking tour.We did the morning hike which was just the perfect way to see this amazing place. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked on this Hermit Cave tour (a shorter hike) which was also brilliant. Evan was the guide on both trips and he was great. I can’t recommend these tours highly enough - if you are able to, hiking around this spectacular area, is the way to do it. Excellent way to learn the hermit caves and their history. Evan (our guide) too the 6 of us starting at 4:30pm in June 2023 on a hike from their shop to see the following: Holy Spirit rock, hermit caves where people use to live, caves firmed between massive rocks.
