I went on the guided tour last Monday 21st March. From the minute I walked in the door the staff were helpful and had plenty of time for questions and knowledge about history. I can't remember the name of the man who was the tour guide but it was the last tour of the day and he was excellent. He is so enthusiastic about the history of Kilkenny and the church. For me he brought history to life and made it so interesting. There was also no rush on the staff to get us to leave even though it was close to closing time. After the tour you can go back around in your own time to take photos and spend time looking at the artifacts on display. I would recommend the guided tour as you learn so much about Kilkenny and its history.
