The tour starts outside of the Dr. Daniel Fisher house, the historic house tells the story of Martha's Vineyard and it's whaling story. The tour will then guide you step by step through Edgartown telling you it's history.

Stop At: Edgartown, Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts

We will stop by many houses as we walk through the streets of this historic town and you'll hear about their hidden stories. These include stories of Jaws, settlers, Native Americans, folklore and legends, ghosts, the underground railroad and much more.

Historical spot in downtown that was also the site of the filming for Jaws! Learn about the part of the movie that was filmed here and the story behind why they choose Martha's Vineyard.

Stop At: The Federated Church of Martha's Vineyard, 45 S Summer St, Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, MA 02539-8116

The tour stops at the church and you'll learn the story of when Frederick Douglas gave a moving speech here and you'll hear about the role the Edgartown played on the underground railroad.

We wills top at the Giant Pagoda Tree and you'll hear how the ship captain brought it here 150 years ago, how it became part of the town and the rich people that tried to cut it down.

You will walk the dock and hear about the fishing derby the made the island famous, the prizes and the sharks caught.

Highly recommend this tour! The narrator had a great voice! Lots of historical information. It's not too short or too long - the perfect length. It was a beautiful fall day so the streets were not too crowded. But you could stop the tour if you needed more time to take pictures, or to get to...

The tour was very informative (I enjoyed the narrator's voice). Directions were very clear and easy to navigate the streets. We went in October and it wasn't very crowded, but I can see how it might be more difficult to get around in the summer months. Highly recommend taking this easy and not...
