Great tour with our guide Dani (Daniel). He was SO knowledgeable and imparted his information in an interesting manner. When he found an animal, he would train his monocular tripod on it, have us all take a look and then take photos with our phones so we got some great shots! After the hike, the company laid out a spread of fresh pineapple and watermelon for us to snack on. Excellent experience!Great tour by Carla. Busy with other tour groups at the entrance but it soon thinned out & there is plenty of wildlife in this small national park. Sloths, a swim in the sea from a stunning beach and monkeys walking straight past us - what's not to like!

We took this tour with Harold, our guide, and it was really excellent! It was our last tour in a 3 week visit to Costa Rica - in fact our 17th guided tour - and it was the best! Harold is obviously a very skilled wildlife expert, but also has very good people skills; he listened to our previous experiences, and honed his tour to our needs and interests. He adeptly got us through the bureaucracy of admission to the park, and led us on a fascinating walk through the park. It was a Sunday, and the park is very popular, but there are daily entry quotas, and we did not feel at all overwhelmed by the other visitors; Harold often led us to quieter spots where he had spotted something we would find interesting. We saw many Capuchins, and heard about the problems that feeding wildlife produces and the reasons it is forbidden. Harold found a wonderful mother and baby sloth for us, and deftly set up his viewing telescope, which gave great close-up views and prompted fascinating discussion about the ecosystem in sloth fur, and their behaviour. Harold also showed us 2 ground-resting nightjars, an amazing feat of pattern recognition to spot these highly camouflaged birds. The tour included collection and return from our hotel, and a refreshing stop for fresh fruit and cold drinks on exit from the park. Our visit was definitely a highlight of our stay, and we thoroughly recommend this tour.I have so many amazing things to say about this tour! I have so many amazing things to say about this tour! Our tour guide Alen really made the trip fun and his knowledge on the animals were impeccable. I would highly recommend a tour because I would never have been able to spot the animals like the guides do. The park was beautiful and we saw so many animals from sloths, monkeys, iguanas, deer, etc. Ir was really cool to see them in their natural habitat. I really enjoyed everything about this tour!
