What to expect

Stop At: Magnetic Island, Magnetic Island, Queensland
Sail along the beautiful Magnetic Island coastline searching for the perfect spot to anchor for a few hours. The hosts onboard will check-in and find out if you have any preferences on the bay to visit and provide recommendations based on the wind and weather conditions on the day.
The most popular spots for us to anchor are Arthur Bay, Florence Bay or Radical Bay (depending on the wind). Once at anchor, guests can jump in for a swim (or snorkel - wind permitting), explore the beach or just chill out on the giant inflatable mat with a glass of wine in hand.
After some down time, you will be served a delicious lunch of BBQ meats and locally caught prawns, homemade salads and bread rolls. (Dietary requirements can be accommodated on request at time of booking). You will also be served wine, beer or soft drinks to enjoy while relaxing with your lunch on board.
After lunch, the anchor will be lifted and we'll sail back to Nelly Bay.

They catered for all, even my pregnant friend got to enjoy a non-alcoholic gin and tonic. The staff were beyond friendly, always close by to top up our drinks or help take a photo. Unfortunately our lunch cruise last Thursday was cancelled due to heavy rain and rough seas. We were contacted by staff and given some options including a full refund which we accepted due to flying home the following day. It is pleasing to note that a full refund was made to my account within a day. Thank you. We will return to Yumbunen (Maggie Island) and take a cruise with Pilgrim tours. Today we sailed with Claire and Clayton from Pilgrim Sailing from Horseshoe Bay to Radical Bay. Both Claire and Clayton ensured we were taken care of throughout the day, giving us the opportunity to swim, chill, eat and more importantly drink. The food Claire put together for lunch is served to each individual group, allowing the group to chill out and enjoy the food. Claire sources most of the food that is served from local suppliers, including local fishers and dairy farms in the Atherton Tablelands. (And we know all this because we had to ask where it was all from as it was that good)! I cannot recommend Pilgrim enough! If you are considering a trip with them you won’t regret it.A touch of luxury cruising along Magnetic Island. Fantastic crew. Delicious fresh seafood! Great time meeting fellow passengers and enjoying a swim! Would do again!
