I was expecting a short walk with superb scenery and was not disappointed. What I was not expecting was a knowledgeable driver who gave historical anecdotes on Bournemouth and Poole on the way to our start point and this made the day even more enjoyable. Did you know Bournemouth beach is artificial, was created by the Victorians and is maintained by the tides bouncing back and forth off the Isle of Wight? He also advised on the best way to enjoy our time on the Jurassic Coast. Good footwear and a basic level of mobility are essential for the descent and the climb back up. My knees did not enjoy going down, but I heard younger people complain more about the ascent (I've seen worse). The weather was perfect. Lulworth is a bit of a tourist trap but we enjoyed our beer and ice creams (not together!). We got off the bus early to spend the evening at Poole Quay, which was an excellent finish to a good day. Well worth the priceabsolutely amazing experience the scenery and location is stunning and the hike from durdle door to lullworth cove wasnt too difficult can go at your own pace. the driver/guide was very nice funny & informative will definitely be doing this trip again would highly recommend
