What to expect
Welcome to the setting of a villa and its garden with an exclusive view of the beautiful village and sea of Portovenere.
In a cozy living room with a fireplace or in the garden immersed in the Mediterranean maquis according to the weather, you can attend the cooking show of a "scherpada", a typical savory tart prepared in the traditional "testi", round terracotta vessels on which to cook a special dough.
Try the scherpada together with some local wines and some more local snacks.
With this experience, you get the chance to be totally immersed in the beauty of Portovenere and learn local traditions together with other foodies and Liguria lovers.
If you wish, you can be picked up at any location in the La Spezia, Portovenere, and Lerici area, a van will take you to Portovenere to enjoy the experience and get back at the end of it.

Other than a mixup in directions to get there, the experience was wonderful. Teresa & Kristina were very good - all 7 of us enjoyed it completely - the setting was beautiful overlooking Portovenere - as we went from day to night!

My event had to be changed to the pesto making and wine tasting experience. This is run by the same organisation 'DoInItaly' and at the same location. It was excellent and I highly recommend. The villa itself and the views are spectacular. Kristina, the chef, and all the staff, including Teresa from DoInItaly with whom I had been corresponding beforehand and who came along to translate, were warm, friendly and welcoming. The content of the event was educational and fun! Don't miss it.
