Stop At: Del Mar Race Track, just west of I-5 at the Via de la Valle exit, Del Mar, CA
The Del Mar Racetrack has been the central hub of Del Mar since it's inception by Bing Crosby in 1936. Stop At: San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve, 2710 Manchester Ave, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Encinitas, CA 92007-2204
This lagoon is one of San Diego’s largest wetland at 979-acres. This ecological reserve is primarily a shallow-water estuary, formed where the Escondido and La Orilla Creeks meet the Pacific Ocean. I love showing guests this portion of the tour at the lowest or highest tides, as they can come back 6 hours later to see how different the reserve looks with the tidal differences.

Our first Electric Bike experience was AMAZING. My daughter and I were hesitant at first, but with simple instructions from the operator, we were ready to go. It's just like riding a regular bike, but easier! Our tour guide, Elias, was fun and knowledgeable about the coastal towns from Solana Beach to Encinitas. We had plenty of time to enjoy a snack in Encinitas before heading back. The bikes were clean and had baskets to hold our stuff. It was a good choice to be on a tour with a guide for our first time, but it was so easy, will definitely venture out on our own next time. This is a super fun family activity, but would also recommend it for couples and friends. We had an awesome time with Justin as our tour guide! This was the perfect way to see the area - if you are considering an electric bike tour, DO IT! Our welcoming host and guide on this e-bike tour Elias was fantastic from start to finish! It was our very first e-bike experience and it couldn’t have been better. We felt very safe on the route - led by Elias with great attention and care. He loves his neighborhoods and speaks about them with knowledge and passion. After more than two hours tour we felt like we know many beautiful places! Elias is also very good at explaining the operation of the bike, which was especially important to us. The bikes are in excellent condition and are extremely comfortable and easy to operate. Great that they have convenient saddle bags for our scarfs and extra jackets. And Elias supplies bottles of water that came very handy on the route. Hands down it was our best experience during our visit to Encinitas! We will be back and we will e-bike again. We wholeheartedly recommend this amazing E-bike tour to everyone who comes to the Encinitas area.
