What to expect
We begin our route from Pucón moving to the Conguillío National Park, about 80 km northeast of the city of Temuco. The ascent begins at 1600 meters above sea level, where the Las Araucarias Ski Center is located. Our ascension lasts approximately 6 hours.
The Llaima Volcano is a volcano stratum that rises above 3125 meters above sea level and its eruptive record is classified as one of the most active in South America. Its name in Mapudungun means Veins of Blood.

I did the climb up Villarica, they explained the trip and the requirements to have a safe climb. Extremely experienced staff and friendly every step of the way so I would highly recommend them if you're in the area.

Increíble la experiencia, dura la subida, pero el premio lo vale 100%, el Guía excelente, da seguridad y muy motivador.....Es segunda vez que realizo un ascenso con Rutas Outdoor, y lo cierto es que las expediciones han resultado increíbles. Los chicos tienen excelente disposición, cuentan con todo el equipamiento y los guías son muy profesionales, por lejos los mejores de Pucón.

We went to the Llaima Volcano from Pucón. We started very early and after a 3 hour drive we arrived to the Araucarias Ski Area, where we started ski touring to the Llaima Volcano. The sites were absolutely breathtaking, it was cold but incredibly sunny. The quality of the snow was amazing and the guiding was top quality. It took us 6 hours going up and 1 hour going down.
