Lanzarote Introductory Scuba Diving Experience

- 2-hour scuba diving excursion including a 30-35 minute dive to 5 meters

What to expect
You will go on a discover scuba dive to 5 metres for 30-35 minutes with your SSI instructor and look at the marine life Lanzarote has to offer.
When you arrive at the dive centre we will complete paperwork, including a brief medical history. After that is completed your SSI instructor will give you a briefing explaining to you about scuba diving and the dive you are about to go on. We will then find a wetsuit, mask, fins and boots that fit you. We will then stroll down to Playa Chica where we will put the equipment on and walk into waist deep water. We will practice the breathing and when you are comfortable we will go underneath the water where we will practice 3 skills with you. We will then go for a dive to 6 metres for 30 - 35 minutes. Along the way we will stop off along the way and see the different fish Playa Chica has to offer. You may see sea bream, parrotfish, damselfish, flounders, ornate wrasse.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Diving within 12 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
- Not recommended for pregnant women, or participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions
- Near public transportation
- Please bring swimwear, towel, and a change of clothes
- Minimum age is 10 years
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Face masks required for travelers in public areas

Went to Manta Diving for 4 days diving. Overall a good diving center, with friendly staff, well maintained diving gear and good location. I would have expected a little bit more organization (clearer diving briefings and explanations about how the dive center works) and less stress among the team (especially in busy days, which makes the diving experience a little impersonal), and also smaller groups underwater (we were sometimes 6 with 1 divemaster). Ben and Rachel are very nice people and seem to really enjoy their activity, which was very pleasant. Thank you for the diving and take care!What an amazing experience. What an amazing experience. Myself and my partner did the try scuba drive experience and we loved every minute. It was so easy to book and the communication was great. The instructors were so lovely and very patient. They took time to demonstrate how to use all of the equipment and made me feel really comfortable even though it was my first time. We saw some beautiful sea life and it was an experience we will never forget. 100% would recommend!Great experience passing my deep diving course in the company of Ben and Rachel. Both have a relaxed fun attitude to diving while at the same time being very professional about safety. "La Cathedral" is an excellent dive site.
