What to expect
La Leona Waterfall tour is one of the most fun experiences in the entire Guanacaste area. It consists of a walk of approximately 3 hours. The fun part is that to get to this beautiful waterfall hidden among the canyons we must cross rivers, swim a couple of times and climb the canyons. Along the way you can see two other smaller waterfalls, one even more hidden between the canyons and the other perfect for jumping into the blue water of the river.

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- You must wear running shoes or hiking shoes for this activity. It is also recommended to bring cloths and a change of clothes to change after the activity. It is not a big problem but it would be better if you took bugspray too.

Nacho was a great guide on the hike and we all agreed the hiking adventure was our favorite of the trip! The hike is moderately difficult in spots but we loved the adventure and being immersed in such a beautiful place.Highly recommend going on this tour! I went with 5 friends of mine and we had Victor, Jon, and Genesis as our guides. Helpful and diligent to make sure I had the best time possible, like a skilled lover. Very accommodating and took some awesome pictures for my dating profiles. Seriously, don't be an idiot and skip this experience while you're in Costa Rica or it will just be added to the long line of regrets in your life. Stunning scenery, great people, lots of nice water - what else could you ask for? Besides your fathers love but we all know thats long gone buddy.The guides were amazing, when we got picked up, they offered us waters out of a cooler and even showed us some of the local music. They did an amazing job of explaining everything and we never felt rushed when taking pictures. You’re crazy if you don’t book this tour.
