Kutaisi, Prometheus Cave and Wine tour
Overview
For a wine testing we will head to our Family Winery - Nikoladze WineHouse , located 30 minutes drive from Kutaisi. We will test 2 (or 3) white, 1 red wine, 2 kind of Chacha (local vodka): one refined, and another pure as distilled from grapes.
We will introduce winemaking technology, process of wine fermentation and different tools used in producing the Saint drink of Georgians. As a snack, could be offered different kind of cheese with a Georgian bread or homemade khachapuri.

Experience a breathtaking atmosphere in Tskaltubo, the once-famous Soviet Spa Resort. Visit abandoned Sanatoriums hidden in the huge park; wonder in the labyrinth of long corridors; look at the sky through the columns and dome of Magnificant Sytuctures, occupied by wild vegetation.

- Tour will cover most important sites around Kutaisi. Professional guide will accompany the group during the tour and provide information about interesting traditions and history of Georgia. During lunch time we could visit local restaurant to test dishes from amazing Georgian cuisine.

I booked the tour because it included some sites I wanted to visit, and I was especially looking forward to viewing the dilapidated Soviet sanatoriums. The sanatoriums did not disappoint, and it was absolutely breathtaking to walk in them. The other stations were also mostly pretty interesting, just that the Sataplia Nature Reserve seemed to be directed more at kids. The guide contacted me before the tour via WhatsApp. During the tour, he was very knowledgeable, and he helped me to get a better understanding of the Georgian mindset.The cave is very impressing, with great and interesting things to see, highly recommend it for 2-3 h
