Above Kos town lies the Asklepion, the world famous excavations from the fourth century BC. There, Hippocrates laid the foundation stone of modern medicine and wrote the Hippocratic Oath, which is still performed by all doctors worldwide today.
Further highlights of your eventful day are the mountain village Zia, the village Andimachia with the traditional windmill, as well as the untouched nature in Kefalos

Enjoy the extensive olive groves and the original landscape until you reach Kefalos with the most beautiful beaches on the island.

You will enjoy a traditional lunch (not included in the price) Mastichari or ZIa depending on the route.
Stroll through the small streets of the mountain village Zia. With its old houses, it lies sleepily on the slope of the imposing Dikeos mountain. The numerous spice stalls offer you a true smell experience and if you want, you can try the typical cinnamon water there.

Alloggio a Kephalos beach , zona tranquilla e meno caotica della città di Kos (che non ho nemmeno visitato). Spiaggia e fondale in ciotoli quindi nessuna possibilità di fare castelli di sabbia. Siamo stati sull'isola di Kos a Luglio. Io mia moglie ed il piccolo di 6 anni. Alloggio a Kephalos beach , zona tranquilla e meno caotica della città di Kos (che non ho nemmeno visitato). Spiaggia e fondale in ciotoli quindi nessuna possibilità di fare castelli di sabbia. In compenso mare pulito sebbene non degradante (attenzione a chi non sa nuotare). Nessuna lamentela considerando il terreno. Abbiamo noleggiato un'auto per esplorare le spiagge vicine (consiglio di prenotarla prima e per tutto il periodo direttamente in aeroporto...risparmiate). Spiaggia di Paradise beach a 5 minuti...bella ma affollata. Lettini ed ombrellone a 10 euro ,bar e servizi. Un pedalò 20 euro mezz'ora (ho rinunciato) ma la spiaggia ed il fondale degradante ottimo per i più piccoli. Spiaggia di Magic beach (tea le preferite)...ottima. Sabbia grossa e fondale che scende subito (meno di Kephalos). Lettini e ombrellone a 10 euro. Servizio bar in spiaggia. Spiaggia di Golden beach (altra preferita ma a 30 minuti di auto). L&O a 8 euro compresi due drink serviti in spiaggia. Sabbia finissima e fondale degradante. Acqua calda. Dove la spiaggia ha zone isolate ci sono i naturisti (casomai fate una camminata con i figli). Spiaggia di Marmari ovvero Rimini in Grecia (siamo scappati). Spiaggia di Kohilari stupenda e selvaggia ma vento forte. Onde fantastiche per i bambini (fondale di sabbia basso). La sera cena in vari ristoranti di Kephalos...Great Aissie pochi buoni piatti e prezzo basso e titolare disponibilissimo (anche per primi piatti mirati per il bimbo)..menù di base turistico (come tutti a Kephalos)..voto 8. Ristorante Dimitri ... voto 7 Ristorante Maria...voto 7 Ristorante Cavo greco...voto 9 (ma più caro). Ristorante da Manolo (kephalos centro ) lasciate perdere. Una serata in gita a Zia a vedere il tramonto stupendo...andate un pò prima sennò il parcheggio ve lo sognate...e cena lì in localino caratteristico con prezzi nella media e menù di base. Nach einer längeren Wartezeit weil es Probleme mit dem Bus gab, hatten wir einen schönen Tag 😃 Wir hatten einen super Guide der uns während der Tour nicht nur Infos zur Insel sondern auch über die griechische Geschichte gegeben hat. Wir hatten mehrere Stops mit genug Zeit zum Erkunden und einen ersten Eindruck zu bekommen.🇬🇷Fahrer und Reiseleiter gaben ihr bestes. Der Reisebus in desolaten Zustand. Fenster vielfach blind. Umsetzung wegen Vollheit im Bus nicht möglich.

Le spiagge sono varie, cioè sabbiose, con sassi e anche con scogli. Molte sono libere. Economica, due lettini con ombrellone si parte da 7 ai 10 euri a secondo del confort ...
Isola piccola, sempre molto ventilata e per fortuna, perché il sole si fa sentire. Il mare greco, naturalmente è bellissimo. Le spiagge sono varie, cioè sabbiose, con sassi e anche con scogli. Molte sono libere. Economica, due lettini con ombrellone si parte da 7 ai 10 euri a secondo del confort proposto. I paesini sono da visitare soprattutto i più piccoli, per scoprire la vera Grecia. Il capoluogo Kos è molto interessante dal punto storico e monumentale, dove si incrociano diverse culture, greca, araba, romana e ebraica. Il platano di Ippocrate. In una settimana si può visitare tuta l'isola. Una meta da non petdere
