Korouoma is about 30 kilometres long, few hundred metres wide and up to 130 m deep canyon at Posio, Finland. The entire area is a natural reserve. There are plenty of species in varied nature of Korouoma. Korouoma offers great opportunities for hiking, watching the nature, fishing and reviewing the cultural history of usage of nature at the area.

The weather and the surroundings were just amazing, but I am also SO happy, that we ended up with Alex’ group. Already few hours after booking online, Alex was texting me to make sure, we were ready. He double checked the details with us and we felt taken care of. It was a small group, and Alex was really friendly, helpful and told us about the nature and wildlife. The BBQ was cosy and good. One of the best tours on our Lapland trip. We are so glad we went with this instead of some huge company. It was just me and my boyfriend and Aleksei told us, he is just starting his own venture as a tour guide and you could really feel how passionate he is. Since we started a bit earlier than most groups, we had the trail to ourselves. The hike itself is easy to do and leads through beautiful nature. A highlight was the campfire on the way back with Finnish sausages and marshmallows. We even learned how to start a campfire ourselves with just a knife. The drone shots we received a day later were really breathtaking!We had an absolutely amazing experience. Alex was one of the most thoughtful guides we’ve had. He picked us up from our hotel at 8:30 AM so we could escape the crowds. He had got crampons for us (for our shoe sizes!) that made the trek very comfortable. We had an absolutely amazing experience. Alex was one of the most thoughtful guides we’ve had. He picked us up from our hotel at 8:30 AM so we could escape the crowds. He had got crampons for us (for our shoe sizes!) that made the trek very comfortable. He even got vegan sausages for the vegetarians in the group!! He showed us 3 spectacular frozen waterfalls and also took beautiful drone shots for us (along with photographs on our phones). He told us all about the Finnish forests and answered all our questions patiently. Feel lucky to have found this tour.
