Walking Tour in kochi with a local guide. Experience the highlights of Fortkochi and Mattancherry with a local Expert born in same city who speaks good English. You will get the benefit of a local who explains about the history of the local attractions in a local way. During this tour along with the historic monuments, you will also experience the real life of the local people which is the main attraction of the tour. In Fort Kochi You will visit traditional Chinese fishing nets , St Francis church, Santa cruz Basilica church etc. After you will be transferred in Tuk Tuk(Auto Rickshaw) towards Dhobhi (local Laundry)and then through local streets visiting Old Hindu Temple and towards Mattancherry to visit historic Jew street where the Jewish community still exists after walks towards Dutch Palace, where the Cochin Royal family were living, now a museum under the Archeology. Later towards the Traditional Bazar market visiting Spice warehouses, Womens Co-operatives etc in the town.

Biju spends good quality time explaining the history of the land and does not rush through the tour. He also allows much flexibility to pick and choose the places of visit based on your time and interest. The local people are very familiar with Biju and are very friendly when you visit different places. If you're visiting Fort Kochi, look no further and book your tour with Biju only! We enjoyed this tour although my suggestion would be to get the guide to start in Jew Town and work back to the fishing nets. Then you are set up for the evening and can just wander off to a restaurant. Make sure you get the guide to stop for a drink in e middle. Our guide had very nice manner a...

We had a wonderful time on our walking tour with Bijus! Truly everyone on Fort Kochi knows him, and he knows it like the back of his hand. Communicating was easy and his laid back demeanor made everything go smoothly, even when I accidentally left my glasses behind in a tuk tuk (which, since this was day two of a two week trip, could’ve easily been a disaster!) Bijus clearly loves his home, and seeing it with him was a unique and lovely experience!
