The winery was founded in 1930 and fully recycled in 1998 when it was acquired by the Altieri Family. It is dedicated exclusively to the production of high-end wines, aged in oak, in special batches of bottles parked in underground cellars. All its wines are 100% natural and "receive the care that is given to a work of art."
RESERVATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF THE WAREHOUSE. IF IT IS NOT AVAILABLE, IT WILL BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER WAREHOUSE IN THE SAME REGION

Philosophy: Respect for the terroir and minimal intervention.
Since its inception, the winery has pursued a path strongly marked by its obsession and respect for nature. The fundamental pillars of production at Achaval-Ferrer focus on the minimum necessary intervention between the soil and the glass.

10 out of 10! We had a wonderful time with Marcelo on our wine tasting day and I would highly recommend him for a wine tasting experience in Mendoza. He is hugely knowledgable and very friendly. I communicated with him via email first and he sent over many options including lots of bodegas. We narrowed it down to three and confirmed a date. He was readily available to communicate before we met him via WhatsApp which was great in terms of confirming timings for the day. He was prompt to collect us for 8.30. He helped us with our stuff and had a car seat ready for us as we were taking our baby along. He was very chatty and giving us all sorts of information during the drive to the uco valley. We were a bit late leaving due to us and Marcelo was even able to make the time up and get us to arrive bang on time. We didnt feel at all rushed . He had planned the whole day wonderfully. The first bodega was in a beautiful setting, gorgeous mountains, luscious green all around, set in the desert. Incredible! We visited two more bodegas and had lunch at the last one. This one also included a bonus art gallery. He speaks very good English and is a fab guide! If you’re in Mendoza and looking for a great, friendly, knowledgable driver then look no further.
