Kiev Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves.
It is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery which gave its name
to one of the city districts in Kiev.
You will see the most beautiful churches and explore the caves with mummified remains of the Saints from 11th century.
Ukrainian people are very religious and you will have a chance to learn more about Orthodox.

On the territory you will explore Assumption Cathedral, Refectory Church and Holly Caves.

Stop At: The Great Lavra Bell Tower, Lavrska St, 13/81, Kyiv 02000 Ukraine
The biggest bell tower in Ukraine, which you can see during our tour.
Duration: 20 minutes

- Infants must sit on laps
- Not recommended for people with claustrophobia to go to the caves.
- Visiting the caves will be quite difficult for overweight people and those who have problems with the knees.

Instead of throwing a bunch of random facts, it was presented thematically so we could see the big picture of what she was describing and how everything fit together. She also asked us what brought us to the tour and was able to add on to/customize the information based on what would be more interesting for us. Overall, this tour was very informative and Anastasia was an excellent tour guide! Would definitely recommend.Our adorable guide Olga was very knowledgeable and she gave us a great tour in and around Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. I wish I had more time to do the other tours in Kyiv, they all seem interesting!
