Kayaking at Lan Ha Bay
Overview
Join us with our full day kayaking tour to make your visit to Lan Ha Bay to be outstanding, our experienced guides will take you to visit beautiful and quiet places, real limestone cliffs when you kayak to hidden lagoons behind the mountains, have relaxing time on natural beaches and explore the nature as well as the local people on Lan Ha Bay in particular and Cat Ba island in general.
Starting from our office in the morning, our Junk boat will take you through the floating fishing village of Lan Ha Bay, spending 2-2.5 hours to explore the center of the bay, enjoy happy daily work and life on the bay. Lunch is prepared by our crew with traditional Vietnamese dishes; you will spend an hour for lunch and have 10-15 minutes rest before continuing your journey in the afternoon. .After lunch, our Junk boat will take you to north of the bay, which is known with a local name as “Ba Trai Dao” to continue another experience on a completely quiet and self-contained area.

We searched for a company that doesn’t focus on having the nuggets groups and we found it in Langur’s Adventures! Our main goal was to visit Lan Ha Bay and get away from the massive groups of tourists on the big boats that in our opinion ruin the beauty of this area. Sure, we are tourists too, b...
We searched for a company that doesn’t focus on having the nuggets groups and we found it in Langur’s Adventures! Our main goal was to visit Lan Ha Bay and get away from the massive groups of tourists on the big boats that in our opinion ruin the beauty of this area. Sure, we are tourists too, but we try to keep our ecological footprints as small as possible. We booked a full day of kayakking (for about $25,- each, wich is really cheap considering what you get in return) and hopped on the 8.15 a.m. taxi-van to the boat and then to the kayaks. During the day we explored the beautiful karst formations, floating houses, hidden lagoons and quiet beaches in the Lan Ha Bay area on good quality sea-kayaks. You don’t have to be a pro kayakker to keep-up, but it may come in handy if you enjoy breaking a sweat. We swam, relaxed and enjoyed lunch with the group. The groups are relatively small, max 14 customers, and the guides are young and full of energy. We returned in Cat Ba town around 5 p.m. and received a 10% discount on our bus to our next destination (or any other activity they offer). Tip for the company: hire a photographer to document the activities and sell the pictures to your customers. We would probably buy them :)OviT23

My girlfriend and I were lucky to be the only ones on the Kayaking tour, so we could set the pace however we liked. Lan Ha Bay is a beautiful, uncrowded place with great scenery, floating villages and very interesting history! Lunch in the floating village was probably the best food we've had in Vietnam, so it's a must! If you are headed to Cat Ba- do yourself a favor and head to Langur's Adventures! We are absolutely the type of people to do things ourselves, but we couldn't have been happier that we reached into our pockets and spent money to do this kayaking trip. The Langur's team is knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and super keen on making sure you have a rad day out on the water. They all love their jobs and it shows. We had the pleasure of being out on the water with Archie and Claire and they absolutely crushed it from A to Z. Not only were they a blast to be with but also extremely accommodating and attentive. Of course would recommend both of them to anyone, but I am sure you will be in great hands with who ever is your guide through Langur's. We were able interact with multiple employees and they all were great! Also the locals that assist with the tour were very nice as well!! The day ran smoothly, we did not have to worry about anything, the scenery is amazing, and to top it off lunch was soooooo good!! The boat itself and the kayaks are all in really good condition as well 👌🏽 Thanks Langur's for a jammin day- you truly have something great going on and I highly I highly recommend to anyone of all ages!
