What to expect
Collect the Kayak at the beach entrance, we will be wearing a green shock t-shirt with the Star Tours Algarve logo. Present your ticket and wait for your turn. Sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes before you have a Kayak available.

- Do travelers have to carry the Kayak a short distance and get in and out of the water? Yes
- The traveler is responsible for returning all equipment in good condition, otherwise he will have to reimburse for damages.
- The traveler will be responsible for complying with the strict schedule, in case of a delay of more than 5 minutes will have to pay an additional 50% of the total amount
- Not recommended for drunk people
- Please make shore you sanitize your hands before olding your padles. Make shore you keep a safe distance from everyone that you don't know. Please do not help other people taking pictures for them, remember your savety is first.

I booked two kayak rentals in advance of arriving in the algarve. Be aware that the bookings provide you with a one-hour window in which they can show up at any time and leave you waiting. Our booking was from 10-11 and we showed up to the meeting spot up on a steep hill at 10am and couldn’t find anyone from the company. We walked all over the place looking for them and all the other tour operators said these guys don’t show up on time. They didn’t show up until 10:30 and asked us to meet them back down the hill. Meanwhile we could have rented kayaks right at the beach from another company without any wait. There are many rental companies at the beach and it’s easier and faster to just rent there instead of booking in advance with Star Tours. Also, the tide can get very intense at the cave and it’s better to go with another company that has someone stationed at the cave to help you enter and exit safely. They did give us dry bags to carry our shoes and phones but otherwise not a great experience.Hicimos una reserva de 2 kayak con monitor (éramos 4 personas) para el pase de las 13:30h. Hicimos una reserva de 2 kayak con monitor (éramos 4 personas) para el pase de las 13:30h. Para nuestra sorpresa, a las 13:20h el grupo que nos habían asignado ya había salido, por lo que nos tocó esperar más de una hora en la playa para realizar la salida con el siguiente grupo. Tras esta espera y observando una gran desorganización por parte de monitores (no tenían chalecos para todos, falta de kayaks…) nos comunican que por el estado del mar no pueden seguir con las excursiones; sin embargo, el resto de empresas continuaban con normalidad. Por lo que les escuchamos hablar, la razón por la que nos dejaron tirados tras la espera fue que habían perdido por el camino a algunos miembros del grupo organizado. Al menos nos devolvieron el dinero en el acto. LAMENTABLE.Reservamos kayak para dos y cuando llegamos a la hora de la reserva No había Kayaks disponibles y tuvimos que esperar una hora, porque no dan prioridad a las reservas. Solo tienen 14 en total y también los usan para tour organizados. No lo recomiendo porque por 5€ más tienes empresas con mejor or...

Para el 80% de la población está bien. Pero, 30€ por una hora y media de alquiler quizás es demasiado. Los chalecos y las palas tienen más veranos que la cueva, podrían tener mejor conservados, los chalecos sucios y viejos a más no poder. Al no tener sitio abajo, tienes que subir y bajar tu los chalecos y los remos, no es que pese, pero por ese precio podrían tener algún vehículo entre todos las empresas de kayak. En temporada baja tiene que estar muy bien, julio y agosto es una feria de gente, perdiendo el encanto, el turismo de masas terminará aquí algún día, porque degrada el entorno.
