We spent 4 hours of absolute bliss being hosted in Paihia with an exceptional tour of the Kawiti Glow Worm Cave and Opua Forrest Walk. Ken, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to. The time flew by and we will go back again. There is more to see and we will definitely want to have Ken take us around. Thank you Ken for the most pleasurable experience we had in New Zealand! PS: The free doughnuts were the best I've had in a long time and were the icing on the cake!! :-)This was an excellent tour, from the friendly, informative and competent guide, Ken, to the spectacular caves and forest. This was an excellent tour, from the friendly, informative and competent guide, Ken, to the spectacular caves and forest. Ken provided detailed information about the tour and place as he drove us from where our ship's tender dropped us to our 1st stop, the famous Hundertwasser Toilets. Yummy donuts were provided. Ken handed us over to the very capable hands of the Maori owners of the Kawati Glow Worm caves for a wonderful experience. Then it was off to the lush and beautiful Opau Forest. Some not so gentle uphill walking, but you can choose not to go all the way down! We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a half day tour of the area. Our driver Ken is an excellent person. Very friendly and polite. We had a great time !!! The trip was interesting and very enjoyable.

Our small group was met by Tracy, our guide, in her very colorful van. Our tour through the Opua Forest and the guided tour through the Kawiti glow worm cave was a perfect first leg of our cruise through New Zealand. Tracy immediately gave me an impression of how passionate the Kiwis are for their native land, their unique natural heritage, and very colorful history. Tracy shared much of her knowledge about flora and fauna, which, though not highlighted in the tour description, appealed to me because of my own fondness for these. I was lucky to have had her be our guide. Being in a small group helped my wife and I feel comfortable in the tour, and to feel special. Tracy made sure of that. I highly recommend this company and this tour. The forest is amazing; the glow worms are one of a kind!!
