While my Guide was friendly and I like Kawagoe I was disappointed by this trip for a number of reasons. Firstly, I had not been informed that I would be the only person on the tour: if I had known I would likely have cancelled as I prefer group tours. Secondly, my Guide seemed under-prepared with...
While my Guide was friendly and I like Kawagoe I was disappointed by this trip for a number of reasons. Firstly, I had not been informed that I would be the only person on the tour: if I had known I would likely have cancelled as I prefer group tours. Secondly, my Guide seemed under-prepared with information on the things we would be seeing and how he was planning to schedule the day. For example, I had brought a Tourist Map along for orientation but my Guide had not and when I asked a question in one of the temples he Googled the answer as we stood there! This compares poorly to other Viator trips I have been on where the Guide proactively supplies interesting information and I leave feeling excited by what I have seen. In the end the heat of the day and the amount of walking meant that I cut the tour short and asked to return to Tokyo early.
