View the world famous waterfall that was in the 1993 Jurassic Park movie. Standing at 400 feet, Manawaiopuna is only accessible by helicopter.

Enjoy the splendor of the ʻThe Grand Canyon of the Pacificʻ. Waimea Canyon stretches 14 miles long, 1 mile wide, and 3, 600 feet deep.

Witness the awe inspiring 4, 000 feet sea cliffs that are almost vertical in some places. These sea cliffs protect the sacred Kalalau Valley.

- Weight restrictions of 275lbs per person with a total not to exceed weight of 800lbs
- Weights are taken at check-in with all items. If weight restrictions are exceeded, we will cancel the tour and no refund will be given
- Minimum age to participate is 7 yrs old. Ages 7-11 years must sit next to a closed door. Ages 12 years and older may sit next to an open door
- Check-in 40 minutes prior to tour time. Late check-ins will be considered a no show and subject to full price
- Check-in is at 3501 Rice Street. You will then drive 5 minutes to Lihue Airport Helipad for your flight
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or a full refund
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

Fantastic views inside the crater and of the island as a whole. Our pilot, Marcos, was informative and humorous and had a great selection of music. Our apprehension about flying doors-off was quickly relieved and we just enjoyed the ride.

Do the 'doors off' tour if you can as it makes it so much fun and the photos/videos you take are incredible without any reflection from glass.Alain was absolutely incredible. He had so much knowledge to share about not only the island but flying helicopters in general. We felt very safe and could not have asked for a better flight. Alain is the man! Mahalo

Once we were buckled in, I felt safe and completely taken aback by the beauty. Our pilot was Alex. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this helicopter tour. This is the second time I've done the doors off helicopter ride through Mauna Loa. Once with my brother and once with my husband. It is nothing short of breathtaking. Both of the pilots were very friendly and knowledgable -- and played fantastic music throughout the trip. This last trip in September, we saw rainbows in the valleys and in the sky. The waterfalls were abundant. Take your camera! (They tether it to you) It gives you a real view into what the island is really comprised of. I cannot recommend this enough. It will be one of the most awe-inspiring and special experiences of your life. Thank you, Mauna Loa! <3
