I wanted to surprise my sister for her birthday, and picked this tour. What an adventure it was! We visited 4 waterfalls, and it was awesome reaching the point where the water cascades down from the mountain. You can bathe in the fresh water pools. Roshan is very passionate about his work, knows the paths well and made sure we got the best out of the tour. We also enjoyed a lovely Sri Lankan meal prepared by his wife and served on a banana leaf. The tour takes you through the lovely hill country, passing paddy fields, tea estates, pine forests, water streams, and friendly villages. We had a wonderful day. We had a very good time on this tour with Roshan. The waterfalls were beautiful and the swim was refreshing. It's great that the tour also showed us around the tea plantations and the scenery was fantastic. It was great being able to experience true Sri Lankan culture, food and nature. The lunch provided was really tasty and offered a variety of different dishes which we enjoyed at the foot of one of the waterfalls. Roshan is very knowledgeable and friendly. The best way to really see rural Sri Lanka is by sitting in a Tuk Tuk watching the world bump by as Roshan tells you about the country that he is so proud of, and so he should be. This tour is so much more than beautiful waterfalls - five in all. From the blacksmith at his forge, to the remarkable talents of the lady weavers, to a beautiful Sri Lankan curry meal at the base of one of the waterfalls, to glorious views over perfect Sri Lankan countryside. This tour is one not to be missed. And as for Roshan, it would be very difficult to find a more delightful, helpful and knowledgeable man. We had a great day out with Roshan, set everything up over WhatsApp, easy and straightforward. He turned up exactly at 8 at our hotel to take us out for the day. Shared lots of interesting information about local plants and spices, the last waterfall where you can swim was a great refreshment after being in the sun. The lunch Roshan wife prepared was some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Thanks again Roshan. Hope to be back again some day.
