Secret Lake or Brateak Krola Lake isn't really a lake at all. The secret lake is actually a dam. During the Khmer Rouge era, a dam was built with slave labor. It's a huge lake, especially for a man-made one. It is well worth the journey. This is the Cambodia we had hoped to discover.

Wonderful day with Micki touring a wide range of interesting things. I would definitely ask for Micki when taking this tour. he has like 12 years of experience, so he knows so much, and is very easy to talk to.

We had a lovely day out with our English-speaking Tuktuk driver and guide, Roy. Being a local who has done tours for 10+ years, Roy knows the Kampot countryside like his pockets and ensured we had a great time. His Tuktuk is new, comfortable, and provides window covers, which is reassuring, especially on some of the dusty roads in the countryside. We were picked up comfortably from our hotel in Kampot at 8am, and received a bottle of water each. Starting with the lush tropical forest that is Bokor National Park (and the huge Black Lady statue, the wonderful Buddhist temple, the eerie former Hill station and the beautiful waterfall) in the morning, we visited the fantastic cave temple of Phnom Chhngok in the early afternoon to move on to La Plantation for a late lunch (3pm) and visit of their pepper farm. As this was/ is basically a private tour with your driver, we could flexibly adapt and skip Kep (as we moved there the day after anyways) and the stop at the Salt fields, which was great for us. We were back at our hotel by 6pm - all in all, we truly enjoyed our day and the tour with Roy and can only recommend it!It is amazing full day tour in Kampot and Kep.
