Overview

The charming and picturesque town of Kampot boosts colonial architecture, a large sweeping river and is surround by glorious mountains. The weather is usually cooler here than in other parts of the country due to a cool breeze off the water. This sleepy town is the perfect chance for passengers to see an authentic, quaint little Cambodian town.

On this tour, we'll discover two provinces, Kampot and Kep. We will visit Traeuy Kaoh Pagoda which is near Kampot river. We continue to see Cambodian school to visit with students. Then, we continue to Charm fishing village and crab market in Kep province. We stop for a short for your own lunch break and enjoy your delicious meal. After that, we travel pass Durian Round About, take photos at Kampot River Front and visit the world number one, Kampot Pepper Farm.

Itinerary

Stop At: Traeuy Kaoh, Krong Kampot, Cambodia

Our Full day Tour will start at Traeuy Kaoh Pagoda, where you can learn about the Buddhist religion and stories, see a Cambodian school and discover about the Cambodian educational system. Just a bit further down the coast is the seaside town of Kep; it is a peaceful relaxed place; a bit off the beaten track and totally charming. In the 1950s and 60s, this was the holiday home to Cambodia’s elite. Wealthy Cambodians, foreigners, and even the Royal family had mansions in Kep, where they would go to relax by the seaside.

Stop At: Kampot, Kampot, Kampot Province

Our journey will move on, as we’ll take a boat ride to see and learn about the ancient Cham people, and to see the Cham fishing village.

Stop At: Kep Crab Market, Waterfront, Kep 07503 Cambodia

Then we continue to Kep, the town is known for is delicious fresh seafood, in particular crab and running along the coast is the bustily crab market. At the Kep Crab Market, you can watch people pull crab traps out of the ocean and then immediately sell the crabs right there on the wooden boardwalk. You can also find squid, shrimp, fish, stingray, and many other varieties of freshly caught seafood for sale at the market.

Stop At: Sothy's Pepper Farm, 1333, Cambodia

After lunch, we drive back to Kampot and on the way we’ll pass the Durian Round About and we’ll have a photo opportunity at Kampot River Front to see the French colonial architectures and the Kampot Historical bridge. Afterwards, we continue to visit the Farmlink (Pepper Farm). The Farmlink was created in 2006 by a small group of European expatriates living in Kampot. They made the observation that Cambodia, but Kampot Province in particular is rich in high quality natural products that would be appreciated by fine food enthusiasts across the world.
They also noted that although Cambodian farmers have a high level of expertise in traditional agricultural production methods, they did not have the knowledge or experience to access overseas markets. At 4:00pm, our tour comes to an end and our guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

amazing experience! The mangrove forest and boat ride was a treat. The pre-arranged lunch was unbelievable--7 full courses! Be prepared as the food was absolutely delicious, too much for two of us as each course was a full plate!!
