Kaikoura: Coastal and Alpine Scenic Airplane Flight
Overview
Next, overfly Lake Hapuku, which is a direct result of the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake. Your pilot will then descend towards the Hapuku river mouth and fly along the black sand beach towards the Kaikoura peninsula. Flying around the peninsula, you get to see that it is dotted with resident seals next to the turquoise ocean.

It was worth every penny. I booked using the winter offer, combining the flight with a whale watch boat tour. Great value at $165 for both.Staff were super helpful. We booked the scenic flight thinking it was a whale watching flight, however, the staff were able to catch a view of whales over the pennisula for us. It was an incredible experience. Kaikoura is stunning. Would highly reccomend.
