First let me say the opera was fantastic, Baritone, Soprano and pianist filled the atmospheric church with amazing sound. The performances were accomplished, passionate and moving. 5 stars. I would strongly suggest getting to church early as seating was limited (latecomers had to sit on uncomfortable wooden benches at side) and sit by one of the fans (so aisle seat) as church was very hot. Also wear lightweight loose clothing. The reason for the overall average rating for this experience is the disappointing dinner. I would give it a miss if possible unless you like bread bread and more bread! In which case skip my next paragraph;) We arrived at restaurant Trattoria Napoleone before 7pm and they could not find a reservation. I gave my name and showed the tripadvisor voucher, to much confusion and was eventually ushered to a table. We had wine and starter and I looked at the voucher to see another restaurant is also listed on booking, so wondered if we’d come to wrong place? When the manager came over to check our details again I felt like I had made a mistake and gone to wrong place. Most uncomfortable. The food itself was bread basket starter (no choice) which was all a little dry, then only pizza available for main (more bread!) and tiramisu desert. This was actually terrible. Dry biscuits with cream on top. It’s my favourite desert but this was very disappointing. In terms of organisation the timings on the trip advisor ticket were very vague, the start time for opera was missing so we didn’t know how long we had for dinner, we rushed to church unnecessarily. For your reference performance is at 9.15pm. So a mixed bag of an experience overallExcellent. Value for the money, as well as easy to find the location. Although we ate elsewhere beforehand. The Soprana was delightful, clearly top class, emotionally intelligent and inspiring with her voice. The pianist was remarkable. He took me back to my youth, as when I listened to my fath...
Excellent. Value for the money, as well as easy to find the location. Although we ate elsewhere beforehand. The Soprana was delightful, clearly top class, emotionally intelligent and inspiring with her voice. The pianist was remarkable. He took me back to my youth, as when I listened to my father on piano playing Schumann and Chopin..... The pianist Rodolfo Alessandrini touch was like feathers across water as he brushed and brought about the music to our ears. I loved his intermezzos - three of my favourites . The former church provided superb acoustics. We sat at front, with the perfect view. We thank you - soprano Laura Andreni & pianist Adolfo AllessandriniWe could not have asked for a better experience. First, the Dinner. I think this was the best meal we had in all of Tuscany. We could not have asked for a better experience. First, the Dinner. I think this was the best meal we had in all of Tuscany. The wine was fantastic, the food was amazing! the service was exceptions (we adored talking with Irjs). The first course was a typical charcuterie board, followed by vegetarian appetizers (don't worry, you won't miss the meat!). Then a sampling of 3 types of pasta, one of which we enjoyed so much we asked for seconds! Then dessert was chocolate salami. We liked it so much they gave us the recipe (the owners grandmother's recipe no less!!). We had a wonderful experience. Which then led to the opera, which was right across the street. We were blown away. The piano playing was spectacular, the singing couldn't have been more beautiful. The acoustics in the room were so perfect.. we couldn't have asked for a better evening!!! Don't hesitate, book this opera WITH DINNER!!Opera soloists were exceptional. We enjoyed the concert very much. Tuscan dinner at the local restaurant (Vivanda) was excellent. Highly recommended tour.

Restaurant meal was a huge disappointment there was no atmosphere and tiny portions of food were served along with two glasses of wine, we thought we were getting dinner but what we got was like a tasting menu. The church for the musical part of the evening was so hot it was extremely uncomfortable, the music was excellent it would be better to see that and not purchase the food part.
