Our guide, Kendra was informative, interesting and quite frankly just fun to be around. She was very accommodating as the three of us are vegetarian and the rest of the group were not. She made each of us as individuals feel welcome. Loved the fact that she was genuinely interested in people (and it showed). Take this trip, visit the cool little town of Lancaster and enjoy great tasting food prepared by awesome chefs. Budget time to stay past the tour time to see the shops and little garden areas. The walk for the tour was easy as we walked short distances then stopped for a bite to eat and hear interesting facts about the town and it's past famous residents. The food amount was exactly right (arrive hungry and leave full). We plan on going back to the town, possibly staying over to see a show and re-visit the restaurants / shops now that we have the "lay of the land". Kendra, if you read this, we want to thank you again for giving us an awesome day,Kendra was a great tour guide! She was so knowledgable about the cultures of the food we sampled. She made the tour fun with trivia questions and interesting history stories. It was a unique food tour and i would highly recommend!

This was a fantastic tour! I love food tours and have done several in NYC. Kendra is as good or better than those. She is charming, and seems to know everyone downtown Lancaster! The stops all came with delicious samples and interesting background stories. She also shared a lot of local history with us. If you like to meet friendly people, try wonderful new foods, and learn about some amazing entrepreneurs doing business in Lancaster, I highly recommend taking this tour. We started the tour as strangers, and ended the tour as friends. My tour was on May 13, so sorry for the lateness, but I definitely wanted to sing Kendra's praises.I have to preface my review with the fact this experience was nice and our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. I have to preface my review with the fact this experience was nice and our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. However, my husband and I did not feel the amount of food we received was in any way sufficient. Based on previous reviews and photos as well as the online website, I was under the impression we would be eating a lot more than we did. In total, we had a small amount of tea, a spring roll, a piece of bread and olive oil tasting, a half of an empanada and 1 yucca fry, a macaron and finally a single cookie. My husband is a big eater and we ultimately had to eat once the tour was over. Which shouldn’t have happened after a food tour. I feel I have to be honest with my review so other people can understand what they are signing up for. In my opinion, the cost of this tour is not worth it.My friend and I attended this tour on Feb. 17, 2023 and we were quite disappointed in the whole thing. My friend and I attended this tour on Feb. 17, 2023 and we were quite disappointed in the whole thing. In our opinions, our experience did not match the event narrative along with most of the photos of previous occurances of this event. We briefly (and we felt rushed at each location) visited six local businesses during the walking tour: 1. A spice and tea shop where we were each offered about a 3 ounce sample of a hot tea. 2. A Vietnamese restaurant where we were served one spring roll per person. 3. An olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop at which we did an olive oil tasting. 4. An ethnic food court which afforded us each one half of an empanada. 5. A french pastry shop which gave us each one macaroon. 6. A sweet and candy shop that gave us each one cookie. We did not visit Central Market or Norbu, two of the wonderful places mentioned in the tour description as possible stops. $65.00 was not a good value for the experience. At that price we were expecting to have something more like a progressive dinner with meal-worthy portions and we could sit at each place - perhaps a starter at one place, an entree at another place, and a dessert at the final place. I am a Lancaster County resident who loves the county and Lancaster City and I was embarrassed to have other out of town guests be exposed to this tour.
