We spent a day in Innsbruck on our own before taking our walking tour of Innsbruck with our local tour guide Alexander. Alexander connected all the dots of the sites we had seen and still others that we had no idea existed! He was an encyclopedia of information and a very personable tour guide. In two hours we were mesmerized by the over 800 years of history that we were presented with. The walking tour was casual and informative. I would recommend that anyone visiting Innsbruck start with one of these private, walking history tours. As a Travel Advisor with 30+ years experience, I found Alexander to be a responsive and flexible guide, he did a city orientation tour of Innsbruck for my clients, as well as a full day trip visiting the Kings Castles which was customized to their specific interests. As a Travel Advisor with 30+ years experience, I found Alexander to be a responsive and flexible guide, he did a city orientation tour of Innsbruck for my clients, as well as a full day trip visiting the Kings Castles which was customized to their specific interests. This rating covers both my side of finding him easy to work with, and their side of reporting back an enjoyable experience! The vernacular train and cable cars are a special treat. At the top of the Tyrol Alps one can see several countries on a clear day. Love this place.

We had a slight mix up and were a little late for our tour, but our guide Alexander waited for us, and gave us a great intro to Innsbruck and the oldtown area.Alex was an exceptional tour guide. Having his undivided attention, showing us intricate details that one could easily miss and really immersing us in both Innsbruck’s and Austria’s history was a treat. I highly recommend this, plus loved the walking exercise.
