In small village Velo Grablje you can experience traditional Dalmatian island architecture and the locals famous easy-going way of life as well as to see how was life on Hvar island century ago.

This is one of the most beautiful traditional villages on Hvar that has been preserved in the similar condition from very old times. In this forgotten and magic village where time stopped ticking more than 50 years ago, you can rest a little bit, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and taste the local food and wine.

We took Hvar Lavender Tour in the very beginning of July. This was a great choice for this year, because lavender was still blossoming. However, even if it isn't in bloom the tour is still worth to take. The hiking path leads through picturesque landmarks. While walking we enjoyed beautiful views and sounds of nature. Moreover, it isn't difficult to go because most of the way you get down. Additional many thanks to our guide Tibor, who not only showed us this path, but also provide us with a lot of interesting information about Hvar, its habitants, history and nature. There was just me and my husband and our guide Josko on our tour hence was very friendly and interesting, without having to slow down for a large group of people. The lavender was beautiful but the trip was much more than this. Josko was a very friendly, interesting and informative guide. He told us about different flowers and herbs and their uses, also about the old villages and about the history of Hvar and Croatia. At the end of the hike we visited a lovely beach for a very refreshing swimWe had an amazing time hiking with Josko. Beautiful views, nice walk. We learned so much about the history of Hvar and Croatia. If you are good hikers and love nature, this is the trip for you. Our highest recommendation: excellent!
