What to expect
Take some time to hang with huskies in this unique experience in North Iceland. In this particular tour, you won’t just be meeting a working dog, you will be meeting a member of the family.
If you love kisses, you will be in the right place. These huskies love to give all the kisses you desire and love to meet new people. This is the perfect combination of love, cuddles, photos and coffee. This visit can last up to an hour and is a private experience meaning it’s just you, the dogs and their owners.
You can take as many amazing pictures as you want and at the same time cuddle up with our gorgeous huskies on this tour to a kennel just outside of Akureyri.
Both children and adults will love this tour. Huskies are very intelligent, curious and friendly, making this the perfect tour for families.

From the moment Gunni greeted us at our hotel to take us to his husky wonderland, we felt a warm local connection. He has such a love for what he does and a great manner setting up what to expect. When we arrived the dogs were all waiting for us, tails wagging. I could have cried with joy. I’ve loved huskies my whole life and have never been around so many. It’s amazing what this family is doing and seeing them in their home element is incredible. Highly recommend a stop here. PS: the view is stunning, too! Would love to come back for some husky therapy.This was such an amazing experience all around, could not have asked for better! Will definitely be recommending this to anyone who visits Iceland and I plan to be back again next time I am on town!

This is what all experiences should aim for, fantastic welcome, gentle introduction to the huskies with very interesting details about the animals and a tour of their home. We then spent close to an hour petting all 18 huskies. We were encouraged to take photos and ask anything about the animals - hot fresh coffee was great too. We were shown products that they were waving from the husky hair but there was no pressure or expectation to buy anything. The owners are clearly passionate about the animals and the business - they are friendly and welcoming - their English is perfect. We booked the activity for my teenage nieces and they have not stopped talking about the experience. Maria was an amazing host, and her dogs were great fun. It was truly a unique experience to meet 18 dogs at the same time. Lots of kisses and cuddles. We had a blast petting and playing with her pups and their personalities were truly on display. It's also very clear that Maria and her husband are true husky and sledding fanatics and treat their dogs as if they were their children.
