What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Pass By: Miraflores District, Lima Peru
Depart from Lima around 6:00 am, direct to Paracas, arriving around 9:45 am.
Stop At: Paracas, Paracas, Ica Region
Arrive in Paracas around 9:45 am, you will then go with your guide to port to board the boat for the tour to Ballestas Island.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Islas Ballestas, Paracas 11660 Peru
Take a speedboat out to the Ballestas Islands to see penguins and sea lions in their natural habitat. – Paracas
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Huacachina, Huacachina, Ica Region
Depart from Paracas to Huacachina at 1:30 pm, arriving around 2:45.
You will have free time until 4:00 pm, when the buggy and sandboarding tour starts.

Dune Buggy up and Sandboard down the biggest sand dunes at the only desert oasis in South America.

Arrive back in Lima around 11:45 pm, we will drop your off at your accommodation.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- Please bring breakfast with you (direct bus).
- We pick up from hotels and hostels located in Miraflores, Barranco, San Isidro and some in Lima downtown.
- Please don’t be late, as bus must leave on time to do Ballestas Islands at 10:00 am.
- Near public transportation
- Bring sunscreen, it is hot all year round in Paracas and Huacachina.
- Food is not included, although we have discounts in many restaurants.
- Infants must sit on laps

- Important holidays: Easter weekend April 06-09 and July 28-30 is Independence Day Celebration in Peru: The pick-up time will be 1 hour before the usual time, Sandboarding/dunebuggy (Huacachina) only 1 hour (all operators) and Ballestas Islands (Paracas) only 1 hour and 30 minutes (all operators)
- Warm weather all year round. Light-weight jumper/jacket for speedboat ride to Ballestas. Closed-toe footwear for Sandboarding.

I booked this thinking it was going to be a chill boat ride and sand buggy ride. I was wrong, well, half wrong. The boat tour is pretty quick, you get to see plenty of birds and sea lions, one penguin was out the day I went. That was chill. Now, the sand buggies, are like monster trucks - jumping over hills, donuts around the sand and fast spins. It’s like riding a roller coaster so be prepared. The driver of the buggy, Mikey, helped anyone who needed assistance in and out of the vehicle. He patiently showed those who sand-boarded how to safely do so. Diego was the amazing guide for the day! He accurately explained everything, answered all the questions and had a positive attitude - all things I need my guide to be. He handed out popcorn and put on a movie at the end of the night back to Lima.Long but amazing day!! We were picked up at our hotel and drove to see seals and penguins on a boat, had lunch and then spent the rest of the day in dune buggies (like a roller coaster ride), sand body surfing and then watch a magnificent sunset over the dunes. And Huacachina is a pretty little place, very cozy and green. The buggy and sandboard is incredible, a lot of adrenaline and laughs. Our guide Diego was very nice, explained a lot of things about each place we went to. He was very organized and careful with the group, which I really appreciated. It was a great experience and would recommend it!
