These gentle horses were SO much fun. We loved every minute of this excursion - the kids and adults, both!!! They were perfectly behaved and listened to all of the voice commands. We walked all along the beach and in the coconut trees, and learned all about the wildlife and nature from Ramon. Make sure to request him as your guide, as he was so knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable even with kids in our group. If you are considering going, this is the best horseback riding tour we have done - and we have done quite a few. So fun to ride in a pack of horses along the beach!!!!Ramon was our guide and he was AMAZING. He said these horses are like family - he spends more time with them than his people, and it shows. They are SO well behaved, and it takes a lot for me to say that!!! We had a group of 8 (this was in March 2021) and 3 of them were children, ages 5, 8, and 1...
Ramon was our guide and he was AMAZING. He said these horses are like family - he spends more time with them than his people, and it shows. They are SO well behaved, and it takes a lot for me to say that!!! We had a group of 8 (this was in March 2021) and 3 of them were children, ages 5, 8, and 10. The 5 and 8 year olds had never been on a horse - yet it was easy peasy!! The horses are taught with voice commands, never with kicking. They were gentle and taught not to walk in one single line, but instead they are allowed to gather so we could all ride next to each other, in a pack. They even know what to do when Ramon says "al agua!" (to the water!) - they headed towards the beach, and when he says "photo!" - they all gather together, line up and face the camera. Ramon literally took 150 pictures for us, using one of our phones (then we all shared to an album). He did this while holding a big stick (NOT to hurt any animals with but just so the horses knew he was alpha, and to listen to him) AND chasing off a stray dog that tried to come close. Our 10 year old daughter loved being able to ride her horse right up next to me, or walk her horse over to her cousins. They were not huge horses so I wasn't scared of them being up too high either, but they easily held all the adults. And if you want to break off from the pack and gallop, you totally can! Along the way, Ramon taught us about mangrove forests, coconuts, and let us taste these wild sour plums he found. I truly can't say enough good things about this tour, and I am not one who normally even bothers to write a review. I know they have not been super busy during these times of covid (2020-2021) - so we gave them a nice tip. If you are considering riding horses when you are in Zihuat or Ixtapa, you will be so glad you did, if you go on this tour!!! :)Raymond was our guide for horseback riding on the beach. Raymond was our guide for horseback riding on the beach. He was a fantastic guide. The horses are so well trained and we had the best time of any horseback riding experience. We were allowed to take our horses in our way and gallop with them if wanted. The beach is beautiful and the coconut grove fascinating. I highly recommend this experience and ask for Raymond to be your guide!!The instructor was very personable and brought us along an awesome route! 10/10 would recommend. Even if you are beginner (it was my first time riding) he makes sure you are safe the whole time!

The guide (Victor?) was very patient and experienced. Gave good commentary along the ride. We wore closed toed shoes, although based on what others were wearing, it was not an enforced requirement. Totally worth the money!!

I cannot recommend this enough! Ramon was such an incredible guide. He taught us so much about the plants and animals. He made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times and my friend and I had the best experience. The horses were very sweet and trained incredibly well. Perfect for a first time rider. The beach, lagoon and forest areas were beautiful and Ramon made sure we liked spiders before she showed us some really cool ones. I wish I could do this again every single day. It was relaxing and thrilling and educational. 5 million stars!
