Start the day trip with a hotel pickup service in Krabi in the morning. Undergo a short health check-up by the crew of Krabi Sunset Tours at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. Hop aboard the traditional longtail boat with your fellow explorers and head over to the Hong Island group.

Make a short stopover at Koh Daeng (Red Island) for open sea snorkeling with very clear water and a coral reef underneath.

Once arrived at the main island, named Koh Hong, start paddling on a sit-on-top kayak with 2 seats around Hong Island and explore the hidden mangrove forest in Hong Lagoon. Here you can swim in the cool turquoise waters and spot a wide array of colorful fish and other marine animals. Enjoy a yummy, fresh made Thai style lunch directly at the beach.

Maybe we were unlucky, but none of the 4 places we stopped were suitable for snorkelling at all - the visibility was less than 1m, there were many many boats churning up the sand and a lot of jellyfish. It was overall feel was very rushed and not the relaxing snorkelling tour we were hoping for....

Adding on the kayaking option was the only part that made the day worthwhile.This was definitely a highlight of our trip! This was definitely a highlight of our trip! Mr. Baw was attentive, funny, informative and the food was the best we had on a tour. The long boat was a nice way to travel, much preferred to the speed boat tour we had done previously. The snorkeling was good and we highly recommend the kayak option as we were able to get into the lagoon w/ the kayak (the tide was too low for the longboat to spend much time there) as well as kayak through caves.The snorkeling was amazing and my boys and I kayaked into the lagoon when the water was knee deep. I walked around barefoot in the lagoon while the boys paddled around and I took many photos. While kayaking back, we came a across a giant monitor about a meter long.

I forgot the tour guide name, but he is a nice tour guide. He is very take care of us and always have a smile on his face. The food which is including in the tour package was nice too,maybe we have no high requirements for the food but still enjoy!

We were staying in Railay Beach and we had to book a longtail boat to go back to Krabi to join this tour. It is an extra logistic and cost but we really enjoyed the whole trip. Everything was very well organized and even the lunch was quite good. We chose the option with kayak and I strongly recommend it! We could see Hong Island from the outside and explore better the lagoon. In this tour we had also the opportunity to see very colorful fishes around the Red Island for the fans of snorkeling. A fantastic way to know a little more of Thailand.
The islands are beautiful, but you only have a short time on each leaving you feeling a bit rushed. This is very out of keeping with the general laid-back feel of Krabi. It's worth it if you're going to be in and around krabi for a week or more, but if you're only going for a couple days, I wou...
The islands are beautiful, but you only have a short time on each leaving you feeling a bit rushed. This is very out of keeping with the general laid-back feel of Krabi. It's worth it if you're going to be in and around krabi for a week or more, but if you're only going for a couple days, I would stick with places like Raili, tong sai or AoNang.
