What to expect
Have you ever been pulled by a husky? Here is your chance to try.
Come and walk with the dogs in beautiful areas close to our home. Enjoy the beautiful view over Eyjafjörður bay, surrounded by mountains while walking through Hálsaskógur, a private woodland in the countryside.
Petting and pictures included.
The experience is around one hour.

This was the best day of a great seven day vacation in Iceland. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm and spent some time with Maria, Gunnar, and the dogs before heading out for a ride on the sled. We are a family of four (16 YO girl, 14 YO boy), so we took turns on the sled (2 at a time) and it was a very exciting ride for all of us. After the sledding we were welcomed into their home and got to learn more about the dogs and competitive dogsledding. We brought all of the necessary winter gear with us, but we were also offered extra layers of outerwear as needed. The hospitality was amazing and it was an experience none of us will ever forget. VERY highly recommended.We had a blast!!!! This is a must excursion. Maria and Gunni were fantastic hosts and their 21 huskies were a perfect pleasure to meet. We had a great experience with goHusky tours from start to ending. We were picked up at the cruise port and welcomed into Maria and Gunni's home. Not to mention the 18 huskies that gave us quite the welcome as well. We enjoyed a great hike with a few lucky huskies (rocks are drawn to take a few each day). After we returned from the hike, Maria showed us the sleds as well as hats being knitted from the husky fur-how cool! Such a great experience and day trip. Memorable and very rewarding activity. Hosts Gunni & Maria are fantastic!! Picked me up a designated time at cruise port in August 2022. It was then a Short drive to their home. All 18 Huskies were wonderful and very glad to see us. Maria, myself and two Huskies went for a scenic walk. Having a knee injury- Maria tailored the hike to my ability level. After we returned she gave me a tour of their lovely restored over 100 year old farmhouse. Enjoyed hearing their history with the dogs and playing with the dogs. It was sad to have to return to the ship. I will always remember my adventure with GoHuskey!!!The highlight of our trip! The highlight of our trip! Hubby and I are on a 16 day cruise around England, Ireland, Iceland and Greenland, and today we had booked Hiking with Huskies with goHusky - what a great day! We were picked up at the port by Gunni and Maria, and they brought the beautiful Storm Husky with them! We went back to their home and met their 18 dogs, and then each were hooked up to a dog for a beautiful hike in nature. After that we visited with the dogs and toured the property. A beautiful, fun day - we loved it!!There was excellent pre tour communication & flexibility to accommodate our schedule. We had such fun with Gunni, Maria & their gorgeous dogs out on a stunning hike. This charming couple were super friendly - we chatted about Icelandic life & felt we left as friends.
