Hiking tour to the highest limestone cliff of continental Europe
Overview
Arrábida Natural Park and take a long walk into the remote lands of "Serra do Risco". A place characterized by a landscape with a strong character.
The walk is done along the top of the mountain that looks like a wave that advances impetuosly and is suddenly cut off and sculpted in the air, it is a wave of stone and scrub, it is the fossil of a wave.

What to expect
The landscape is full of magnificent bushes that surround us and centenarian oak trees. After following alongside the cultivation fields, we'll head towards the cliff slope via zigzagged paths through the middle of dense vegetation. When we reach the top of the mountain (381m), the sea appear.
• This is the highest cliff of the continental Europe and is an excelent place to rest and admire the surrounding landscape.
• To climb the mystical Risk Mountain Range is not only an adventure, but also an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.

This was such a great experience but NOT FOR BEGINNERS!! The majority of the time you are climbing up and down rocks so if you are wanting a leisure stroll this will not be it. This was such a great experience but NOT FOR BEGINNERS!! The majority of the time you are climbing up and down rocks so if you are wanting a leisure stroll this will not be it. The views were magnificent and Andre was very knowledgeable of the area and the best spots to see the cliffs. The trail is close to the edge and the bushes are spikey the entire time so wear leggings or pants. If you are moderately active I highly recommend this experience with Andre. My mother and I loved it!We had a great time with André. The views were spectacular and the hike was challenging but doable. If it’s not to hot, I would definitely recommend long pants and long sleeve shirt as you “bushwhack” through the winding trail. Also bring plenty of water. After the hike, Andre brought us to the ...

Andy was very friendly and made sure both my boyfriend and I stayed on the trail and enjoyed the views. I cannot think him enough for the photos! We would have done the fossil/dinosaur hike if we were in Portugal for longer.We had a lovely day with our friendly guide Andre. He shows us the the most beautiful views of the south with great stories. The level was fine, i mean you don’t have to be super fit but you should have a basic “fitness level”. I would highly recommend this hike
