This activity is great for families and also can be as workout ,Monkey Montain is not an easy hike..! it is demanding but always put you a smile on your face at the end, , not a the beginning Lol.
Summer time is a little harder because humidity , that is the reason we need to start the earliest possible or at sunset.
• We have to options to climb this mountain, , by Higuera Blanca(Punta de Mita) or by Patzcuaro.(Sayulita) this second option is the hard option. 1 st option :Higuera Blanca side is much easier.
• We can do it in the morning or at sunset
• if weather is good, , we do it.

Hiking Monkey Mountain is 1 hour up to the top and 1 hour down to the base of the mountain.

We start 5 kms from Punta de Mita Village, By Higuera Blanca little village on our way to Sayulita
The hike starts on a river bed 2 block from main Plaza, Jeep road to begin and then single track to the top/
