Hike the Dolomites - One day private excursion from Bolzano
Overview
All you need is a backpack, a pair of hiking shoes and the desire to discover these fantastic mountains that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition to safety, our primary goal is to hike where there are fewer people, so you can better enjoy the majesty of the Dolomites.
Under our expert guidance, we will hike at a speed suitable for you and your friends, without rushing.
Be prepared to enjoy the Dolomites as the locals do and without having to worry about where to go and how to do it. Your guide is a seasoned professional who will know where to take you-just follow him!

What to expect
After pickup at your accommodation, you will transfer by car with your guide to the starting point of the hike. If necessary, we will take a cable car or chairlift to quickly reach higher altitudes from where we can hike with better views and wider horizons.
The hike is on mountain trails that can be more or less challenging depending on your fitness level and weather conditions. Your private guide will choose the most suitable trails for you.
In the Dolomites near Bolzano we offer several hikes in the area of the "Catinaccio", "Val di Funes", "Val Gardena", "Val di Fassa", "Sassolungo" and the famous but crowded "Seceda". During the day there is time to stop for lunch at a cozy "rifugio".
Once booked, a couple of days before the tour starts, you will be contacted by the local guide to customize the tour and meeting time.

We were on a three week European trip with a 6 day hiking trek in Austria already organized. We had 24 hours between Merano and Innsbruck so reached out to Freemotion for a guided trek out of Bolzano to experience the Dolomites. They connected us with Guido. He met us as promised, drove us 45 min to the park and guided us for 5 hours. He was very patient and set a reasonable pace. He also gave us options at 2 hours to go another 2, 3 or 4 hours. We had a train to catch so took the 2 hour option which ended up at 3 hours for a total of 5. We asked for big views and he delivered. We had a spectacular sunny day as well. We were on trails 2 and 12 at Parco Natural Puez Odel. A big kudos to Guido for going the extra mile to help us get on the train to Innsbruck. The ticket machine was difficult to operate, it did not take credit cards and in the end our train cancelled but he helped us navigate it all and stayed with us longer than was necessary. We were truly appreciative that he made sure we were safe and on our way when he could have dropped us off at the station. Another plus was he stored our bags in his car so we could trek when between hotels. Highly recommend Guido and Freemotion.We had a fabulous day hiking with Guido. We had a fabulous day hiking with Guido. He planned a hike that was perfect for our family of 4—two parents, two teenagers. We asked us our preference for how long and how difficult we wanted the hike to be. He listened to our input about what we wanted to do and gave us options to hike down or take the gondola if we were tired. It ended up that he set the right pace so we got to hike the whole day. We stopped at three rifugios along the way. We enjoyed an espresso and lemonade at the first. At the last rifigio, Emilio Comici, we enjoyed a delicious late lunch and dessert before hiking the short rest of the way down. Guido also pointed us to some of the best gelato in the Dolomites! ¡Qué bonito es disfrutar la naturaleza y en especial Los Dolomitas! lugar maravilloso y que fué doblemente disfrutable gracias a nuestro querido Guido, guía que con su paciencia y enorme experiencia hizo que Los Dolomitas fueran por dos días casi solo para nosotras. Gracias por habernos llevado por la ruta del Catinaccio y por compartirnos esos paisajes maravillosos que se quedan en la mente como gratos recuerdos.. Amé ese trekking; a veces pesado, a veces cansado pero 100% energetizante a cada paso. Nonostante la stagione avanzata per le Dolomiti, siamo riusciti a fare un bellissimo giro di quasi 1000 metri di dislivello in mezzo a una natura fantastica piena di colori autunnali. Gran bella escursione nelle Dolomiti con una guida affidabile e preparata!! Oltre ad aver scelto sentieri adatti alla mia preparazione fisica e tecnica, ciò che mi ha colpito di più di questo trekking è che abbiamo incontrato molta meno gente di quello che pensavo. Consiglio questa esperienza a tutti coloro che non hanno tempo o voglia di cercare un'escursione nelle Dolomiti adatta alle proprie esigenze tra le migliaia possibili e a chi vuole percorrere itinerari da "local" che da soli sarebbe molto difficile trovare.
