What to expect
Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Ha Giang- Quan Ba- Yen Minh- Dong Van: (B, L, D)
Pass By: Ha Giang Province, Ha Giang Province
We pick you up when you arriving Ha Giang City, or we pick up you are stay any where stay in Ha Giang, then we can take a cup of tea in our warmly welcome company. We take you to one jouney of the first day up hill to Quan Ba that we can see many beautiful views of mountain, villages, ethnic minority people groups… as: The heaven gate in Tam Son, hiking around Quan Ba, visiting the Twins Hill, Nam Dam village of Dao ethnic. The lunch is served in Yen Minh town for some local foods with your guide and driver.
We keep going to up hill to see the Rocky Highland and Karst Plateau along the way to Dong Van, the views are stunning and incredible of rocks in the mountains. Your guide also takes you to visit an ancient building that was built over hundred years ago by Chinese style construction in Vuong King’s Palace who leaded about 70, 000 of the H’Mong ethnic people in this area. Walking around the town at late afternoon to see the Old quater old quarter, enjoy over night in Dong Van

Day 2: Day 2: Dong Van- Lung Cu Flag Pole- Ma Pi Leng pass- Meo Vac: (B, L, D)
Pass By: Ha Giang, Ha Giang, Ha Giang Province
After Brafast around 8.30 am You take about an hour for driving to get to Lung Cu Flag Pole, it is the border area from Vienam and China territory. The views are splendid and huge from the flag pole or observating point for looking out.
The Lunch is served on the way to Ma Pi Leng pass which is the most beautiful view in Vietnam from mountains. Between the cliffs, you can see a unique river- Nho Que. You can stay here for hours to spend the views and take photos.
In the late afternoon you can walk around to see a daily market in Meo Vac town to see many kind of goods that people selling there.
Today you will be here to stay at a guest house and join in a cooking class to learn how to cook some local dishes here.

After breakfast you check out room and the guide and driver take you on a new day to see many different kind of views as: lake for fishing, rice terraced fields, hikng in the villages of Dao and Tay ethnic minority people…
Today is combination of driving and hiking to take great photos.
In the late afternoon you will be at a local family to stay at the homestay and spend a very experience life of culture, custom of people who lived here from hundred years ago.

Today you will take an easy going down hill to come back Ha Giang city. On the way the guide can arrange to take you to see a very famous and outstading village for hemp weaving, indigo dying for fabric that we called Lung Tam. From here you can see a local club for some ethnic minority of H’Mong women that they can show you a processional for hand made staffs.then after visit the villages we will ride to the local restaurent for have lunch, after lunch our team will rider you back to Ha Giang for you on time to go back hanoi on time by afternoon bus or night sleeping bus, or your private car

A great experience that I would highly recommend. The scenery was incredible and it was nice knowing we would be safe with the easy riders. I never felt like I was in any serious danger during the loop. I would advise against driving yourself if you're an inexperienced driver - there were some sketchy moments such as driving through thick fog or squeezing past oncoming trucks. I organized a private tour for 9 people through Mr. Khang on WhatsApp. He was very responsive and flexible with our plans. For example, one of my friends was vegan and he managed to accommodate her diet during meals. We also organized a Ha Long Bay cruise through him so the travel logistics were easy. It was quite annoying when he kept trying to upsell us on various things though. We had to pay a small deposit to secure the tour and paid the rest when we arrived in Hanoi. I was a bit hesitant to pay before the tour since we could have got scammed, but it worked out fine in the end. I would have preferred to pay halfway through the tour. The private limousine that took us between Hanoi and Ha Giang was really nice: lots of legroom, high ceilings, and comfortable leather seats. The homestays were acceptable by hostel standards. The washrooms were shared, there were tons of mosquitos (but mosquito nets were provided), and absolutely no soundproofing between rooms. On the bright side, the homestays had interesting experiences like karaoke, billiards, and fire pits. Personally, I value my sleep quality so I would probably stay in hotels if I had to do the tour again. The food was good, but almost exactly the same for every meal during the tour. We would have liked more variation in the dishes we ate. The drivers were friendly, but only Frank spoke English. So it might not be a surprise that we all got along with Frank the most: he was super enthusiastic and easy to talk to. One thing to note is that most drivers smoke so expect to inhale quite a bit of it. I think this is unavoidable in Vietnam though. 4 days was a good amount of time, but I think 3 days would have been fine as well. The itineraries are the same except you also get to see Lung Cu and the Northernmost point of Vietnam in the 4 day itinerary. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this tour.SallyT553

We have just finished a 5 day Ha Giang self-ride tour with this company. Mr Khang organised our tour and was available before and during the tour for all our questions. He was very helpful. Our tour guide, Mr Frank was absolutely wonderful! Not only did he have a wealth of knowledge about the local people, culture and environment, he was also a gorgeous person who was funny and loved playing with our kids. Our group of 16 people (7 kids) felt so safe with him in control. He even sang some karaoke with us. I would highly recommend Mr Frank as a guide and Mr Luan as a rider (for people who don’t want to drive themselves). We had 2 bikes that needed minor repairs during the trip but they did it so fast and efficiently we hardly noticed. All the homestays were comfortable and provided lovely food. My only criticism of the tour was that we had to drink from small bottles of water. We would prefer to buy a large 15l bottle to refill our water bottles. Less single use plastics in such an amazing environment. Thank you Frank, Mr Khang and Mr Luan. We will never forget this wonderful trip!blaireh838

Our group had an amazing time doing the Ha Giang Loop. Khang customized our itinerary for us, and we spent the perfect amount of time on the motorbikes each day. The scenery was incredible, and it was so cool to get a glimpse into the lives of the people in the villages we passed through. Four people in our group drove, and the motorbikes were in great shape.
